It's hard to find the Arctic Monkeys' older albums anywhere, I was stoked when I was just browsing and immediately decided to buy it. Best Buy has a great music selection.

Great album that is top quality from the beginning to the end.

The first record of the now worldwide known arctic monkeys takes you to he roots of the band, their fast paced post-punk sound with catchy riffs, will give you the sound that ended up being indie rock. One of their best records and very different to what theyre now

Like many great albums, "Whatever People Say I Am... " doesn't grab you on the first listen. Oh, a few tracks immediatley demand attention ("I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor"), but as a whole piece of work it required multiple spins. However, once it fell into place and I moved past my expectations and need to compare it to other bands (The Jam), I realized I had a work of subtle genius in my ears. Singer Alex Turner sings sincere slice of life observations remnicent of the great Ray Davies. His lyrics coupled with quirky guitar riffs and a grooving rhythm section makes for an amazingly listenable record. Do your self a favor. Go buy this CD. Listen to it three times in a row. I guarantee by the end of "Certain Romance" you will be hooked for life.

This album is perhaps one of my very favorites. It's dancy and loud and the lyrics are amazing. Once you get past the accent (not hard) and the very British slang it's really easy to get into. Then again, those same things add to it, because it seems like a band you know, one you'd see in a pub on a Thursday night, but that are amazingly good. I highly recommend it!
