Really good movie to watch with family and friends

How can you go wrong with Johnny Depp in a movie. He has always brought a light yo his roles. He can fo any role and be bright. He played well off of the other stars

Great price for a great classic and it arrived quickly.

This film is truly amazing. It is not like any other hollywood movie. It feels real, which is important to a film. The best thing about this film are the actors. I am a HUGE Leonardo DiCaprio fan and I think that this movie is one of his best performances! It is truly hard to watch sometimes because his portrayle of Gilbert's (Johnny Depp) mentally challenged younger brother Arnie is so real. I would recommend this film to any one as long as they have respect for people who are mentally channenged and people that are over weight "Momma". This movie is a true classic, one that deserves to be viewed at least twice! -A 16 year old girl!

Up until last night, I had only caught glimpses here and there of this movie. However, I was in the movie store last night and being a huge Johnny Depp fan, I decided to rent this movie. I was taken by Leonardo's performance as Arnie (Depp's younger autistic brother). His acting was superb! Depp was awesome (as always) for his portrayal of Gilbert - you could really feel how "trapped" he felt in his life. I was also pleased with Juliette Lewis for her portrayal as Becky (Gilbert's love interest) in this movie. I liked it so much, I ordered it, can't wait for it to arrive and would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Although Johnny Depp plays the main character in this film and does a wonderful job at making your heart twist and turn for him, the person who really shines through is Leonardo Dicaprio, who is pitch perfect in this role. At times your forget that he is acting, because he does a marvelous job at portraying the mentaly challenged. Juliette Lewis has an untraditional type of beauty that made her perfect for this role, and who can forget Mama? The book is a bit more extravagent so the movie tones it down a bit, which is nice. You will fall in love this movie and all of the characters within it. Excellent film.

This film is 5-star entertainment all the way, with Dicaprio giving the best performance of his career. Such a sweet and heartwarming tale, this is one of my all-time favorites. Good bonus features, this purchase is worth every penny!

This film shows the depth of Depp and Dicaprio's acting ability. Even before they became blockbuster stars, Depp and Dicaprio were genuine people like you and I.

Depp and DiCaprio each play one of their best roles they evey play and they helped a great movie.
