Seriously one of the best movies of all time. Seriously just buy it. This is the second time I bought it, had to get it for my mom

I really love this movie, came down expecting something casual but was blown away by the excellent acting and soundtrack.

Always wanted to watch this film. Read nothing but great reviews. The part when he's yelling at the kid is so good too.

"Whiplash", an independent film shot in 19 days, was one of the genuine pleasures of 2014 in film, telling the story of a promising young jazz drummer named Andrew at a prestigious music conservatory in New York being driven to manic ambition by a sadistic conductor/instructor named Terrence Fletcher. But it's so much more than a Faustian morality drama in functioning as a metaphor for the choice of reaching for the highest fame and success or being happy with the simple joys of life. It stars J.K. Simmons who reminds me of the great George C. Scott in that his performance here as a sadistic college band instructor is almost as intense in displaying unleashed machismo as Scott did playing General Patton. At this writing, the 2015 Oscars haven't been given out yet, but Simmons couldn't lose the Oscar if he dropped his pants on Hollywood Boulevard. Writer/director Damien Chazelle drew from his own experiences in High School (hopefully exaggerated!) to make a film that virtually assaults the viewer as if he were a punching bag continuously being pummeled by an enraged boxer. After an almost unbearable nine-minute drumming climax, the viewer will probably stagger out into the street, then spend days getting over the experience. By pushing the envelope almost to the unendurable, Chazelle has carved a cinematic masterpiece.

I’ve always wanted to watch this movie. I can never find it for sale. Seen it today for only $6.99 had to get it.

Title says it all, the film is outstanding and the steelbook looks wonderful. Glad to have it in my collection.

When I first saw this movie I immediately loved it. When I saw there was a steelbook for it I just had to buy it.

I already loved the film but getting the steelbook for such a great price only made me buy it instantly.

Didn't come with the slipcover, which was a bit disappointing, but otherwise, this was a worthwhile purchase. This is one of my favorite movies, and its made even better with the outstanding picture quality. The use of HDR fixes the overuse of the gold hue from the previous Blu-ray, creating a picture that improves what was already a detailed and stylish picture. The best part for me however, was the Dolby Atmos audio track. The previous Blu-ray was already loud and bombastic, but this new Dolby Atmos Track is even better. The dialogue scenes are made even more intense with the louder audio, and the music scenes are made even better now that you can hear each instrument in its exact spot on the soundstage. So this eas definitely a great purchase, as it makes me appreciate what was already one of my favourite movies.

I love this movie, in my opinion it's just about flawless. The steelbook looks really cool too.

One of the best movies ever made! This is a must see. You will definitely watch it more than once.

Not only is the movie absolutely fantastic, but this casing is BRILLIANT and the spine on this case is so freaking pleasing to look at. I’d recommend this to anyone! I love it! Great price point as well!!
