My wife and I were looking to buy a new microwave. One of our friends just bought a convection microwave. When we were visiting them it was one of the best microwaves we have seen and what it could do besides just nuking food. Roasting baking etc. So we started to look at convection microwaves. That when we found The whirlpool convection microwave. Now I not saying our friends microwave isn’t great but the features that the whirlpool has I haven’t seen anything out there like it and the price point is really good. The only issue so far it the WiFi connection it’s having trouble keep link to it. But I would still highly recommend it.

Sadly I fell victim of second guessing the negative reviews on many of the sites about this model of microwave. The potential greatness for this appliance was just too much for me to pass on. Unfortunately the issue with the touch display is real. I've had the microwave less than a month and I've had to reset the appliance at least 10 times (completely unplug from outlet). I am not sure what the root issue is, but it seems like every time I cook something on the stove/range (directly beneath the microwave) that generates steam, smoke or high heat, the display on the microwave will completely black-out a few hours later, rendering the microwave unusable - literally. Since all of the controls are within the touch screen (like your smartphone), having a blank screen means you cannot do anything. Luckily I am tall and can reach way above the microwave to unplug and reboot, which reactivates the screen. If I had been shorter though, it would have been more of a headache than the hassle I am experiencing now. I'm waiting on a return call now from whirlpool, so hoping they respond and can fix. Like I said, there is so much potential that I am willing to give it another shot if they can make the microwave more reliable. Whirlpool if you read this, please help.

Convection feature works well, even on pizza. Touch screen is buggy and the unit needs rebooting every 7 to 10 days to clear out issue. If this continues, we may need to make a warranty service call.

Technology is not my strength, in fact my weakness. This fun Whirlpool microwave is very easy to use and I can’t wait to experiment a little with the convection oven.

We use this unit for all our oven-type cooking. It's well made and only has one flaw that I have noticed. The unit will reboot occasionally (once a week or so) but only when you are about to use it, oddly enough. It takes about 1 min to come alive again then runs like a champ. The convection works flawlessly and really heats up well. We've taken it up to 450 degrees and the food was cooked perfectly. Overall I'd buy it again. I like using the phone app to preheat the oven before I get home if needed. The microwave is very powerful and totally crushes the unit it replaced as far as time to cook and noise.

Nice, sleek looking product but there are times when I press a function and it doesn’t do it. Smart products are not really worth the hassle at times!

Bought in March, delivered in June due to COVID. Used June and July and was so excited for how beautiful and sleek it was. Come 8/1, the entire display stopped working. Which meant you can't cook anything. Best buy doesn't repair Whirlpool appliances under a year. Whirlpool has no appointments for the next 50 days. Deciding if it's worth my time to have it repaired - which seems that even if they do, the display is a MAJOR issue with this microwave and will continue to go out ... or just cut my losses and replace it with a different product. Buyer beware on this one. It's beautiful - if it works.

Beautiful and smart appliance love controlling the fan and light with goggle home hub. Only bad thing I can think of is pingerprints on the Buttons when pressing start , a bit confusing to add to the whirlpool app but once you do that it’s all good form there, love it so far have had it for 2 weeks

This is an awesome microwave! It is also a convection oven. It is Wi-Fi compatible. The guy that installed the microwave was fantastic he does an incredible job! We are very happy with the microwave!

I receiver my awesome looking microwave on Dec 7. Today is December 27 and I have used it maybe a handful of times and already had to call whirlpool bc of the display. Tgis morning the display was completely off and when it rebooted it had lines going thru it as if someone hit it really hard which didn't happen. Its disappointing that this not so cheap microwave is acting up 20 days in. I hope this doesn't happen again or to my range which has the same display.

We renovated our kitchen about a year ago. We purchased a full set of high end Samsung appliances (fridge/oven/microwave/dishwasher). We couldn't be more disappointed in those purchases. oven/ fridge and microwave are all at various levels of disrepair within 1 year. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG. how is this relevant? well the microwave completely broke and we needed to replace it. We chose a floor model of this whirlpool. It feels well built. Its super quiet and easy to use. Its exactly the opposite of our Samsung experience. We are loving it so much, I am considering upgrading out stove/oven to match this whirlpool.

Love the interactive screen and assisted cooking option. The microwave senses the food to get temperature just right. Soften butter you have to see to believe. Defrost option leaves the meat just like your pick it up fresh at the store.

Nice looking unit, but the electronics and touch screen element are terrible. Something as simple as a digital clock - runs fast! The functionality of the entire device depends on this 'intelligent' interface which flakes out and reboots every other week, and then requires resetting. The user menu and interface is poorly designed and occasionally all functionality ceases, at which point a full flake out and reboot happens on its own... Weak and disappointing product, from day 1.

Microwave is awesome the size goes perfectly with the stove color choice for all the places in the stainless was perfect it makes my kitchen pop
