Great machine and easy install. We go through a lot of ice and a dedicated maker was a must. Makes a lot of ice and the perfect cube!

Needed replacement icemaker after 17 years. Dimensions of this unit worked perfectly. Made the install super easy!! Ice production is much better than our old unit. Worked perfectly!!

This is a great ice maker that makes perfectly clear, small ice cubes that are wonderful for cocktails or a host of other uses. It also makes ice very quickly, so we are looking forward to our next dinner party and having plenty of ice. We replaced an old unused trash compactor with this nice new ice maker, and are hopeful that the Whirlpool reputation, and our own experience with all our Whirlpool appliances will bode well for the life of this unit.

Needed a pro to install. Makes good clear ice for the bar, however, It is loud when it is making ice which is pretty much all the time because the ice chest is not refrigerated so the ice melts. I wish it had the ability to set a schedule so it doesn’t run 24/7. I actually install a WiFi outlet that i could set a schedule for it, however it shut the entire unit off which means the internal light when you open the door is also off. :(

Very happy with the way it makes ice. My problem is the top of the ice maker has a seal on it and the seal arrived with two holes in the seal. Would have returned but my husband had to install and has a bad back. It was already installed and I was cleaning it when I notices the holes.

Works well. Makes ice in large quantities. Does just what it is supposed to do. Makes some odd noises from time to time but nothing out of the ordinary.

Not the first ice maker we owned: We we’re replacing the previous one with something almost identical: this one has a couple more improvements like leave the door open and it beeps to remind you and also the cleaning is easier. Great product. Great purchase . We love it.

It works like it describes. The only problem I have with it is the drain design. The drain line is too short and it is difficult to align it over the floor drain hole. I had to cut a hole in the adjacent cabinet that I could reach through to line up the drains.

good ice maker. The manual from the manufacturer could have a little more information about the alarm and light.

Early days this ice maker seems more efficient than the Jenn Air it replaced. Just hope it lasts longer. Looks nice and fits the hole well. Wish they could design a better way to get the drain line into the cup. Need a really tiny person to creep behind and poke it in.

Works good just noisy, same unit as whirlpool I replaced just makes more noise.

Love the ice! Have had multiple water pumps replaced. Very noisy water pumps & have been replaced under warranty.

So where to begin. I have my ice machine delivered and it has obviously been previously returned because I find the brass fastener from the water line that was cut still on it. Then as I open it, I see that it has a filter compartment but you have to buy the filters separately (2 for $49 when you go to register the item). $1,800 ice machine but company too cheap to include a filter. But wait, there's more...Go to install and realize that the machine also does not come with a water pump. Something you only find out if you read through the description, the tech, and finally when you are in the Q&A where the company decides to communicate for the first time that this is a gravity drain device...we are talking AFTER ratings. But dont despair Whirlpool will sell you this on their site for an additional $555.59 on their site as well. Folks you are looking at a $2,400 ice machine that is marketed at $1829.99 BEFORE you invest in all the required accessories. But hey, maybe if you order one you will get one that was not already returned by a customer.

The whirlpool under counter ice maker is fantastic! We hope it lasts as long as the first one we had. I had originally bought another brand so I could have it in a timely manner. It was a mistake! It was very noisy, I called called the company and they came and picked it up. The Whirlpool is so quiet! I ordered it in November and got it it early February. It was definitely worth the wait.

Love having an Ice Machine again. Takes up little space. Recirculates water. So far ....always full.

Love these Whirlpool units. Have used them for years. 2 units in the house and 2 units on the houseboat. After about 15 years I had one fail in the house and one failed on the houseboat. The one on the houseboat that failed was on the top deck exposed to all weather conditions since 2005. Of course, I winterized that unit each year. But even so it took a lot of weather issues for years.

Bought to replace same brand/model that was roughly 12-13 years old. Ice maker works well, produces clear ice quickly. Expensive for the size, but not many others on the market.

The first one we received did not work correctly but Best Buy was awesome about replacing it (and quick too!). We can't live without an ice machine anymore! Compared to our Scotsman from before, this one is much quieter. Ice is high quality (very clear) and perfectly sized!
