Make my kitchen look more symmetrical because before we use to have a refrigerator, about 10 years old, that stick out 4 to 6 past the counter. Which made it look out if place and with this counter depth refrigerator it about flush with our kitchen sticking out just an inch or 2.

Well I must say it is good when it is good. I am on my third one. Repair parts seem to be a major problem.
2 fridges now have had a problem and rather than being able to fix the fridge I have gotten a replacement fridge.
If you get the extended warranty it is a great fridge.
The good thing is the problems were all small.

I would give this refrigerator "0" stars if I could. I bought this in November 2024 and it stopped cooling/freezing in June of 2025 (only worked 6 months). This is not an inexpensive refrigerator. I contacted the Whirlpool warranty department and they referred us to their subcontractor repair service. It took 10 days for the first visit to occur. The technician said that they needed another part and another expert. That appointment took another 10 days. That repair didn't work -- the refrigerator was cold for 24 hours and then nothing. I went through the process to schedule another service and was told it would be another 10 days. I called the Whirlpool warranty line and asked how many times we needed to go through this process until they would replace the product. They said that after exhausting all attempts to fix and consultations with their technical team, the case would go to their "warranty board" for review to see if all possible repair steps had been taken. Then, it would go to a different department for review and finally a fulfillment team. It had already been 30 days without a refrigerator and given their endless cycle of continued steps and "review boards" it sounded like it could be an additional 30-60 days. I think there are 3 fundamental issues:
1.) the cooling component on the refrigerator is new (for energy efficiency) and is part of a sealed system so that no one other than a Whirlpool tech can fix. It isn't reliable and frequently has issues (I was actually told this by the tech)
2.) Whirlpool only contracts with limited repair companies that are backlogged because of the issues, so it takes a long time to schedule each visit. They are unlikely to be able to fix in a single visit
3.) The warranty department never intends to replace the faulty product; the endless hoops and hurdles are designed to frustrate the consumer so that they give up and buy a new product. How long can you go without a refrigerator? Laughably, every time we called the warranty department, they tried to sell us on an extended warranty. What good is that if they can't actually fix the product or replace it in a reasonable time frame? I escalated within the department to ask about service level standards -- or, did they have a maximum time frame of how long they will make the customer wait without a working refrigerator given the multiple unsuccessful repair visits and internal reviews and they said that they did not. You could easily wait 60-90 days before a new refrigerator is provided if ever authorized.
I hate to say, but after 45 days of hours on the phone and multiple visits without resolution and no end in sight, we threw it away (losing $2,000) and bought a Frigidaire from Lowes. Again, this Whirlpool only worked for 6 months.
Overall, the reviews on this product look good. Maybe they were written within the first few months or maybe they got lucky, but if something goes wrong, don't count on any real support. And, it appears that the new cooling system frequently has issues within the first 12-18 months, so you will easily get stuck without a working refrigerator for long periods of time. BTW, Best Buy won't get involved either -- they are just a middleman that simply refers to the manufacturer. Buy from a different manufacturer and maybe a different middleman.

Product has a sleek look and internal design maximizes storage capacity especially in the freezer. Lost space with divided freezer is made up for by easy organization of items. Large freezer items could be an issue.

Found just what we were looking for in this refrigerator. Smaller, but compartments strategically accessible. Love the ice dispenser located inside instead of outside. Great value for money spent. Highly recommend!

I bought this Whirlpool refrigerator solely because there is local service centers.
My previous brand, offered warranty but could not deliver.
Hopefully one shouldn’t need warranty service but if needed it should be available.
