After owning a Frigidaire refrigerator for almost 20 years, we needed to purchase another. We decided on this Whirlpool model due to the similar capacity, the misleading high star ratings of this model, the perceived value of the sale price and, what we thought, was a reputable brand. Almost immediately, we were very disappointed overall and had Buyer's remorse with our investment. First, the lack of the adjustability options of the shelving in all compartments left a lot to be desired compared to our old model. Second, although this maybe a minor complaint, there is no light in the freezer. Lastly, the most important negative factor is that there was an annoying, intolerable loud vibrating buzzing noise from this refrigerator that seemed to be running much more than what we were used to. We gave this a couple of weeks to see if maybe the refrigerator compressor had to break in or even if we could get live with noise. After two weeks of what we referred to as mental torture, we decided that dealing with noise was unacceptable. I called Whirlpool and they sent out an "independent" dealer repair service company who told us that this is "normal"? with today's models and the compressors that are installed. We were at our wits end with this explanation. Thank goodness, we contacted Best Buy and we were advised that, being Totaltech Members, we were eligible for 60 day satisfaction guaranteed protection. We are now in the process of exchanging this Whirlpool model for a Frigidaire refrigerator with the hope that the brand that was so reliable before will still give us much satisfaction going forward. Lesson learned here was to notice the number of Poor ratings and how many consumers referred to same issue related to the issues that we have experienced.

I love the Fridge it's large inside, The only problem I am having is getting the ice maker, I ordered it on June 26th & here it is August 29th, so what's up with that? Also, the motor runs a little loud,

The refrigerator has been operating for two months with no problems. It will keep the freezer compartment just about zero and the refrigerator just below 40 degrees. The shelves are glass and easy to clean. The temperature was factory set and need no adjustment. The Installation at the appointed time was quick and the old refrigerator was hauled away.

The fridge is OK, does it's job. It is a bit noisier than the 20 year old Kenmore that it replaced. The refrigerator space would be far more useful if it had split shelves.

No bells or whistles, but as far as a newer, modern look, definitely a step from your basic white kitchen appliance package. I wouldn't suggest this for a large family that stores a lot of food, but has a decent amount of room for normal weekly food storage. Price was far and looks good in my refreshed kitchen

I bought a LG from Lowes and I had problems not cooling enough straight from the store. Its a long story but basically I returned it and went to Best Buy and purchased this fridge and it works great like you would expect and the salesperson was awesome!

I wanted a 20+ cubic foot refrigerator, stainless steel door, and under 67 inches. Your product met all these requirements. The price was competitive and, most important, it was available in 2 days. The salesman was knowledgeable and very helpful with details of the sale and the perks included. The experience was pleasant and didn't take a great deal of time.

Good replacement fridge. I was a little worried when it didn’t feel as cold as it should be the first week or so that I had it but it’s working fine now. Best Buy did a great job delivering also.

I now have two grown suns that have moved out. They are both in Lake Elsinore CA, which is about 60 miles from me. I purchased this for my second born to match the old kitchen appliances in his new home purchase. It's a great box, he and his fiance love it, I would have given it 5 starts if there was not a slight blemish when it was delivered.

We bought this for a back-up refrigerator in our garage and it has worked out perfect! The freezer compartment is big and there a number of shelves, "cubbies" in the refrigerator main part for all of our storage items

This is a great fridge for the price. Good capacity and the freezer is great- No ice maker so more room for food. Others complained about noise and the temp gauge at front middle of top shelf but it does not bother us. Very easy to clean and good storage. No issues with freezer either - some reviews said did not keep food cold enough but no issues here. Definitely would recommend to friend

The fridge works wonderfully in the winter time. The temps were in the high 30s even during the colder days when our heat was running almost constantly. However, once summer hit, the fridge seems to have a very difficult time keeping pace with the summer heat. We keep our house at 77F on the thermostat with central air and this fridge keeps our food nice and mild and around 42-45F. I am in the midst of seeking help from Whirlpool, but I don't have a lot of confidence that anything is going to get done because I've seen other individuals with the same problem. Unfortunately, I didn't see the problem because I bought my unit in the autumn when the house is at 70F (with the heat on). So let's do an expanded pros and cons list: Pros 1. Sleek, black finish and optional badge makes the fridge look good. 2. 20.5 cubic feet is more than enough for most small families. We have 3 people living here and there is plenty of space all around. 3. The shelving is relatively customizable and the glass shelves are a nice touch. 4. For what it's worth, the freezer keeps temps perfectly. Cons 1. The inside of the fridge registers at 42F and the doors register at 45-50F at almost all times on its highest setting. That is not even remotely cold enough. If I could go back and do it again, I would absolutely have chosen another fridge. If you risk it and get one that doesn't have these problems (or you live in a colder climate, or you keep your AC absurdly cold), then you should have a good experience. However, energy.gov recommends summertime thermostats set at 77-78F to minimize energy use while still being comfortable, and at those temps, this fridge can't handle the task. Do yourself a favor and don't take the risk unless you can mitigate it by keeping your house cooler.
