Very happy with fridge on default settings. Decent size for food for two weeks at a time for 2 people.

I purchased this Whirlpool top freezer refrigerator 01/2017 because after 19 years my Magic Chef finally started to give out on me. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this fridge because of the bad reviews I saw. I'm here to say that it works beautifully, keeps my fresh foods very cold at the recommended manufactured temperature setting and my freezer keeps all of my frozen goods frozen the way they should be and my ice is made super fast after I fill the trays with water. I absolutely LOVE my Whirlpool fridge and I would definitely recommend this fridge to anyone who is looking for a great fridge that works well at a good price.

I bought this refrigerator and it was delivered yesterday. I have left it on high to cool the refrigerator and to test the interior temperature readings. I have 1 thermometer in each section. I have loosely filled the refrigerator with nonperishables since it is in the garage. I wanted to see what the other reviews were referring to in regards to temperature regulation. I realized that the freezer is efficiently in cooling. The refrigerator section struggles to maintain a low temperature. After observing the air flow from the freezer to the refrigerator I realized that there are several design flaws. (1) The venting from the freezer to the refrigerator is small compared to my previous one that had a circular venting area that allowed much more cold air to enter the refrigerator section. This small rectangular hole doesn't allow enough air to cool to keep up with the door open to take things out, then to recover. The motor will have to run longer to maintain the required internal temp. (2) The glass shelves are pretty and easy to clean BUT they do not allow air to easily pass through to the lower level to keep every thing nice and cold. This is a comparison to the grated shelves which allow much air flow to pass. (2) Even if the manufacturer wanted to have glass shelves, it would have been better to have two pieces of glass for a shelf rather than one, because the two parts would have a space in the middle allowing air to travel from top to bottom without obstruction. My personal conclusion is that this refrigerator could have better circulation ability to help move the air throughout the refrigerator. There are two many obstructions to make this happen efficiently. Hence when the refrigerator is opened and then closed it takes longer to recover the cold temp. It will have to work harder and longer to keep up. Since this refrigerator is in the garage and is a second refrigerator, I will use this refrigerator for the freezer section and refrigerator with nonperishables (no dairy or other items that require a maintainance temp of 40 degrees). If I buy another refrigerator in the future, I will pay more attention to the items I observed. This is fine for a second refrigerator. I would require more cooling in my next purchase. This is my personal opinion, any one can have another. Have a good day.

After having returned to Sears 2 defective top feezer models( they did not actually freeze anything), one by Kenmore and the other by Hotpoint, I am delighted with this purchase. I placed temperature gauges in both the freezer and frig and they are right on - O and 40 degrees at the recommended settings. The delivery was easy and this frig is particularly wide - thanks!

I getting frustrated between Lowe's and home depot. Home depot only delivers. To me i feel, like why cant i just pick it up. We need to order ahead of time. I don't kno when my refridgerater is going down. So we were headed back to Lowe's to buy a refrigerator that i didn't want. So i said let me stop by best buy. They had exactly what i wanted. Cheaper too. Thank you so much for the great service too.

Nice refrigerator and perfect size for the smaller space available in my kitchen; appreciate the many shelf configuration options and LED lights; however, removed one star since it is particularly loud when running compared to my previous fridge.

Much better than the first one which never worked! We had to wait forever to get a new one on the mean time lost everything in outlet refrigerator! Never happening again!

Needed a new refrigerator for garage for drinks. This was on sale and bought it. Bigger than I thought, was very impressed. Well thought out when designed and works very well. Would buy again.

The refrigerator is great and works as expected. The delivery guys were GREAT! They communicated with us regarding the time of delivery and delays along the way. Once they arrived they were very friendly and helpful.

I wanted a replacement refrigerator for my cellar and wanted to get the old one hauled away. I used my reward points from numerous other purchases at Best Buy to purchase this refrigerator-freezer. It has a nice internal layout, was reasonably priced and Best Buy hauled away the old refrigerator for a modest fee. I intend to go back to Best Buy to replace my other aging appliances.

Perfect fridge for our needs. Using in an employee lunch room to store employee lunches. No frills here. And we already have a stand alone ice maker so no need for that.

So far a great value. Freezes ice in a flash,’door compartments in freezer really help, simple, quiet not fancy but solid!

Bought the refrigerator in June 2017. Noticed right away that the temp in the freezer was a problem. The food stored in the freezer gets ice crystals all over it and bread gets freezer burn quickly. I've tried to adjust the temp (only 1 control, in the refrigerator compartment) as best I can, but with the refrigerator compartment at just above freezing temps, the freezer still varies between 0-15 degrees without being opened (I've confirmed the temps with multiple thermometers). Usually most refrigerators gets all the cold air for the refrigerator compartment from the freezer and allow air to pass to the refrigerator compartment when needed, with the freezer temp controlling the on/off cycling of the compressor. This unit seems to monitor the refrigerator compartment with the freezer getting cooled only when the refrigerator compartment needs cooling. We had a tech out to check it, but he was all but worthless. He double checked that the freezer air flow control was set to max and that was about it. It appears other reviewers are having the same problem. I've had other Whirlpool refrigerators (some much cheaper) and always had good luck with them. Very disappointed in this refrigerator.

Spacious.well lit. Door accondiment holders hold plenty.freezer is spacious as well.
