Bought this 8 months ago. So far it’s holding up well. One thing to know about this is when you adjust the coldness to level 3 on the fridge side, whatever you placed on the two upper shelves will freeze over time. Milk and juices in box containers froze on us. If you keep the level to level 2, it’s fine. Changed the filter after 2 moths and so far, no other issues.

Bad choices all around: Fridge Washer/dryer combo

You’d think by comparing the recipt to the inside sticker would be enough but we literally deconstructed our cabinetry so allow for easy delivery and install. The rep who came out, said we would not be able to open the doors of our first pick because of the island placement. Our first pick which was an similar to what we had before: the top fridge, bottom freezer (Amana we were replacing). We were also told the new side by side had more room. We’ve used this fridge for a month now, the plastic is still on the front. I HATE it. It may have more sf but its in the freezer. The amount of space inside the fridge is deep, but not wide. Yes I can put full gallons of milk in the door and thats pretty cool, but a don’t think a pizza box will fit in here for leftovers. With milk in the door, the door flings open and ive been tempted to stop it by grabbing one of the plastic door shelves. The plastic didn’t break, but it did bend. The plastic in the door shelves are so thin, I know that will break soon. We could have gone up to a unit that was a foot wider, we were only given one other choice by the rep. Could I have measured, sure! I did. My mind was still on the roomy top fridge bottom freezer. I did not ask about fridge shelf width. He said with the new fridge in place and a 1” buffer the fridge would stick out at least 4 “ . Its flush with the cabnets, not much wider than what was in place before. At this time my Mom was in the hospital for the third time with sepsis and at this time of ordering I also replaced her washer/dryer combo all in one from LG to GE. When trying to purchase the extended coverage on the GE 1.5 ? sq foot unit, the best buy extended coverage is on the page, not an advert; i was told they BB doesn’t offer one. Which was why i was buying it. I csnt find anyone to fix the 2004 LG. LG won’t send anyone to fix because I didnt buy their extended warrenty in 2004. No other repair person in this area will touch it. So now I’m really stuck. My Mom uses the washer/dryer combo every day.

    Roll Out Fridge

This refrigerator seems fine and has had no issues since installation. You can get a good look at it in-store and know what you're getting. There were no surprises vs. what was expected EXCEPT for the fact it comes with no extendable feet or any way of locking the wheels. Absent a do-it-yourself solution, this appliance will roll out toward you every time you open the door if you happen to have smooth kitchen flooring. It seems to have threaded mounting points for feet at the front corners, yet none were installed or included. I have never encountered this omission on any fridge I have ever purchased and did not even think of asking about such a thing when shopping. It was very disappointing to see that Whirlpool considers this acceptable. That being said, it only takes about 15 minutes to lift each front corner and put little custom blocks underneath if you have some scrap wood, a power saw, and a crowbar. Just get those things ready before the fridge shows up to save time and drama.

The fridge works great. I haven’t hear any loud disturbing noises, it’s pretty quite. The ice machine works great. You need to pay closer attention to the dispenser, if your cup isn’t right underneath it ( like if you a larger cup that you are angling in) some ice may fall out. Also pay attention to the height this one is a lot shorter than other models

I have it for a few weeks now. It works very well, the temperature in both fridge and freezer are good. My kitchen is not big, this one is suitable. I found following problems: (1) the sound is little loud; (2) I could not find a way to stop rollers moving. Sometime, the refrigerator moves when I open the door.

I've had the fridge for a bit over a month now and I love it. It's the perfect size for the small area in my kitchen but it's very roomy for one or two people. It can run a bit loud but it's not really that big a deal.

Love this refrigerator. But, two issues one the ice machine quits making ice for no reason. Secondly, the freezer section is so small. I can't even put a DiGiorno's pizza box in the freezer. No, I would never buy this product again. But I'll give Best buy one more chance when I purchase a new refrigerator that is larger more efficient and the ice machine works. Buyer beware!

First Refrigerator did not work properly. Best Buys replace it with no problem. Current Refrigerator works great and looks good. The unit has lots of room and the controls are very easy to use. Would give five starts, but the first unit was not working. However, Best Buys made good and all is well now.

very nice appearance and perfect size for my small kitchen. The only two problems is the ice maker on/off switch that is so hard to locate. The other issue is the lack of instructions that should be available at time of delivery.

Leaky mess and Brand warranty not honored by Whirl

Avoid Whirlpool and save your money. Water leak after first filter change. 6 tech visits, issue not corrected. Then Whirlpool claims "Out of Warranty" declines further repairs. They do offer 35% off a new Whirlpool purchase? Run fast away from any Whirlpool appliance! *Spend $1800 and keep paper towels stuffed in to absorb water dripping from filter compartment and a cup to catch water dripping from the front of the filter compartment. Classy, right? (First fridge returned after 1 week, filter kept popping out) So zero for 2 on https://www.bestbuy.com/site/whirlpool-20-6-cu-ft-side-by-side-counter-depth-refrigerator-stainless-steel/ Save your money and disappointment. Try LG !

    FLAWED DESIGN, SKIP IT

    Posted .

For $1500, you'd think it would have some basic common sense features #1) You cannot adjust shelves!! (see pics) You can on the side doors but not in the main compartment. So don't buy anything tall #2) Temperature adjustment should be simple like a pic of a thermostat or maybe red on 1 end/blue on the other? Instead you get 'bars' that even the manual contradicts itself on #3) Wanna turn off the auto ice maker (in the door). Good luck! #4) Wanna level the refrigerator? You can't. It's on wheels. #5) It looks good... but only from the front (see pic) I could go on, but it's a very flawed design. These are basic & would've cost very little for Whirlpool to correct. Maybe you can adjust the shelves in the $2000 model.
