we purchased this fridge in the beginning of October, new from the store and purchased the 5 year extended warranty with it. Followed instructions to cycle the ice maker and water dispenser when we first had the fridge installed by Best Buy. waited the 24 hrs for it to start making ice.. very little ice was produced. waited the 72 hours for it reach peak performance per the instruction sheet... no change in ice maker production.. we reported the problem to Best buy and they had a repair tech come out to look at the issue.. he thought it was the ice maker and offered to replace the fridge as we were still within the 14 day purchase period or replace the ice maker. I elected to replace the ice maker so as not to have to go threw all the swapping of food and appliances again. 3 weeks later the ice-maker was replaced, and it still did not work. this time the repair technician thought it was a circuit board, so he ordered the part. on November 2 i noticed water coming out from under the floor by the fridge, pulled the fridge out from the wall and there was standing water under it. there was water seeping under the linoleum and into my sub-floor. I called best buy to report the issue. they sent me tot he claims department who informed me to contact my home owners insurance. 3 missed days of work, my kitchen torn apart, thousands out of pocket, and i still don't have working fridge/ice maker. Now after i have my kitchen floors replaced they will replace the fridge. they say maybe someday when the insurance companies sort out all the problems i will get some of this money back.. i am not holding my breath...

Overall this refrigerator meets expectations at a reasonable price, but I experienced the same issues as several other reviewers. The bottom drawer in the refrigerator sticks and does not seem very durable. Somehow the icemaker spits ice out on the floor no matter what size container you are trying to fill, especially with crushed ice. Also, the ice keeps clumping into a big chunk and I keep having to break it up by hand to get it to come out of the dispenser. Best Buy's delivery team and installation of this item, however, would only get 1 star. They refused to put the handles on, did not level it, and damaged my door frame in several places while removing the old refrigerator. It has been over 3 weeks, I've had to make several phone calls and emails, and I have gotten nowhere in getting this resolved.

We like this fridge... It has nice looks and fits into spaces with lower cabinet clearances which was our problem. We could only find a couple of models that would even fit. The LED lighting is really a nice improvement... It makes things look fresh and clean. The ice maker on this model is an in-door design. This really sold me on this model. It is a smaller ice-maker than the old stile that is in the freezer top shelf, but that is fine for us. We have not run out of ice. The in-door ice/water dispenser works OK, like all I have tried, it takes a special technique to keep ice cubes off the floor. Once you learn it, it is fine. I also like the water filter location, in the base of the unit, better than the ones inside... it doesn't use up interior space. This model is pretty quiet.. no complaints.

The first fridge we ordered and had delivered was a Frigidaire of the same size. It started out making noise the moment it was plugged in and never settled down after the cooling period. This one settled right in from the start and is much less compressor noise. It holds all we need for a week or more and is very user friendly with the thru the door water and ice.

I needed a refrigerator to fit into a specific space and this one was just right. Most of the other models available were much too wide and too deep. The refrigerator section could use one more shelf in the main section. The two drawers in the bottom are extra large - and I would have preferred more shelf space. The shelves on the freezer door are too small - I haven't found anything that will fit in them. And, I have yet to use the ice dispenser without it spewing ice on the floor - that could definitely have been designed better. But, the refrigerator works fine and it is the perfect size for me - so I can live with the minor problems.

We needed a moderate size refrigerator to fit into existing cabinet space. This side-by-side is a perfect fit. In general, the appliance works well. But, the exterior sheet metal is skimpy on finishing touches such as corner trim. The ice maker does its job, but is small and tends to splatter ice from the dispenser.

Size was perfect for my available space. The ice maker is very slow to make cubes. It also dispenses ice like it is jet propelled and doesn't stop when you want it to. We almost always have ice land on the floor. The water from the dispenser is not cold. The LED light in the freezer is in the top left side. This means as soon as anything is placed on the shelf the light is blocked from hitting the rest of the shelves. For two of us this unit is fine but would not recommend it for a family of four.

I like this fridge a lot, there is enough space, a lot of drawers, etc. I love the pull out drawer in the freezer. However I don't like that the freezer light is only on if the fridge is open, that's inconvenient. I also don't like that the freezer seems to collect a LOT of frost in the top. I turned the freezer temp down however that did not help. Overall this is a great fridge/freezer and I got an exceptional value.

Got this refrigerator on special as a floor display model. It does what it is supposed to do and keeps our food at the proper temperature. The positives: I love the LED lighting inside. With several LED lights distributed inside the compartments it keeps the entire thing lit up well and makes things easy to find. There seems to be quite a bit more space inside than our old refrigerator of similar size. The negatives: As other reviewers have stated, the ice cube dispenser seems to miss the glass and toss cubes on the floor occasionally. Sometimes the last cube gets stuck in the chute and falls out later too. There is about a 1 second delay from pushing the lever before ice or water comes out, which isn't bad but takes some getting used to. The placement of the water filter is a minor drawback too. We've accidentally kicked it open a couple of times (it is located beneath the freezer on the "kickplate") and can be difficult to latch it closed again. Overall the negatives are very minor, and it is a very good appliance for the price.

The old refrigerator was 20 yrs old. Icemaker didn't work. Seal was bad. New one is a blessing.

Perfect refrigerator for my limited space, cold beer!

Overall we are quite satisfied with our Whirlpool refrigerator that replaces a fridge that we could not stop leaking water and damaging the floor. We have no leaks, quiet operation and largely adequate space, we did go with a smaller model because of space limitations in our kitchen.

Side by side refrigerators aren't my favorites, but I was forced into one by the lack of units that would fit into my 50's height space. This Whirlpool does a fine job at what it's meant to do, though there's an occasional funky noise that probably emanates from the not-connected icemaker. It's a good piece and at the price point you probably can't do a whole lot better. Your food is cold -- what more do you want?

It just the right size for my kitchen and still have lots of room for the amount of food I need to store. It is easy to use and reset the sitting when necessary.

Plenty of room and the interior light is really bright!!!

I paid $600 for this open box. I can not complain. Works like new. Plenty of space. The frig don't get cold like I would like and the water is almost room temp. For the price I a paid. Great

She is real happy with this Refrigerator. the saleman was also did a great job. thanks Adam..
