I got this at a great price. Got it price matched from Lowe's price. The finish looks great, of course is hard to keep clean. But after about 4 or 5 days I noticed rust on the front. A few days before we sprayed water on the front on accident due to the cup not being fully under the water dispenser. We wiped it off but it still was streaky. We just moved in so I didn't get a chance to get some stainless cleaner so we left the streaks. Then a few days later I see rust spots all over. I rubbed he surface rust off but it is still stained with rust spots. I called best buy and they are sending us a new one in a few days. Hoping the one I had was just defective and not an issue with the model or product. Overall nice features however, and great price.

Overall we have been very happy with the Fridge. We have had no problems so far. The only knock I have against it is the size of the ice maker ice bin. It does not hold enough ice. We really like the layout and design. It is a very quiet fridge.

I purchased this fridge less than 11 months ago, and in those 11 months, Whirlpool has sent someone SEVEN times to repair this fridge and it is STILL not working. First, it froze all of my food in the fridge, even with the thermostat set at 40 degrees. In freezing everything, it caused the cans of Coke to explode which caused the glass shelf above them to shatter into 100's of tiny pieces. Then, the freezer started getting terrible frost build up inside of it...so much so that you couldn't move the drawers inside the freezer. They said this was caused by a faulty seal on the freezer. They have tried to repair this now SIX times and it still isn't fixed. This week, a horrific smell of rotten cheese is coming out from the back side of the fridge. Upon calling Whirlpool yet again to ask them for a replacement fridge, they refused---saying that they now have to send a DIFFERENT repair service. That they have to get a second opinion. I asked why they didn't do this after the 2nd,3rd, 4th,5th,6th or 7th repair visit---but they didn't have an explanation and refused to get someone here immediately ---saying I'd have to wait yet again for another repair service to fit me into their schedule. I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool appliance. Not only is this fridge a complete disaster but Whirlpool has the worst customer service in the United States. Best Buy really should have nothing to do with them.

Less than a year after buying this model I have had a problem with the fridge freezing food/drinks etc. Other reviews have reported this problem, wish I had seen them before purchasing!! No matter what you set the temperature to, the inside of the fridge is erratic and you get far different temps throughout. I have set the temp at 42 (!) and using separate thermostats have registered 25 - 40 degrees at different areas of fridge, with lettuce, sodas even jelly freezing! Calling whirlpool is a NIGHTMARE! Also - the icemaker takes up far to much room in the fridge. If purchasing a new fridge I would look for an icemaker located in the door or freezer.

We first bought a LG fridge, but that didnt last long.. the fridge would stay cool...so we returned itfor this whirlpool....this fridge is awesome.. keep are food fresh and fridge stay cold, also this fridge is very quiet and the stainless finish stands out....I would recomend this fridge to everyone....

Great fridge and have had no problems with it. Looks great and has a good amount of features that we wanted. Got it for a great price 1399. Only bad thing is with all these stainless fridge, plastic protective sheeting that is on it when delivered. It is under the handles and the ice dispenser. So you have to take apart the fridge when you 1st get it just to get the plastic off of it.

I purchased this refrigerator 30 days ago today and to date it is still freezing everything in my frig. The refrigerator consistently registers 33 degrees although the temperature is set at 46. The Geeksquad has been out 3 times, replaced parts and now is telling me they have to contact Whirlpool in order to get further instructions on how to fix it. When I called in to the Geeksquad they also informed that it would take at least 1-2 more visits by the tech inorder for him to determine "if a replacement is needed". I do not find fault in the tech as he is working his schedule but it will be 5-6 weeks before this situation is resolved. On a new appliance, I find this "customer service" UNACCEPTABLE.

Excellent fridge would not hesitate to recommend. Whirlpool has a long history of North American Mfg. and parts and repair should be easy to find. Whirlpool gold model is higher quality fit and finish than most.
