I installed the dishwasher myself, only took about 45 minutes before I had it running. Seeing how this is the very first diswasher I've every installed, I would think someone with experience could do it even faster. The other model dishwasher this one replaced was very noisey but the Whirlpool is very quiet. We can carry on a conversation standing in front of the dishwasher without having to raise our voices. Dishes, glasses and flatware come out sparkling clean with NO pre-soaking.

We have run a few loads through so far, and we put in some dishes with cooked-on cheese, along with several unrinsed dinner plates, etc. They all came out sparkling clean! We are very impressed so far with this purchase. I would recommend this dishwasher to anyone.

Stay away from this one, you will be very disappointed. We even had to have a service call when the motor broke after owning it for 3 months! All dishes need to be pre-washed before or soaked for a long time, does not clean well at all!
