Ice machine broke after a year. Just tried to use my Best Buy Protection and at first they wanted to charge me to have a diagnostician come to the house and they told me to call the manufacturer. (So don’t bother with that either). Also I don’t like that it doesn’t tell you the exact temperature of the fridge or freezer.

The gentlemen who delivered my appliances were incredibly courteous, helpful, they cleaned up after themselves, assisted me with any questions. They did a fantastic job!! They arrived when they stated they would be here.
FRIDGE not reaching safe refrigerator temperatures

This is my 2nd of this exact same refrigerator. The first one was installed and within 10 hours, the freezer was down below 10 degrees and it was making ice. The refrigerator temperature ranged from 38 degrees on the top shelf to 50 degrees on the bottom. I tried setting the refrigerator on the coolest setting and still was never able to get the bottom shelf below 45 degrees. The top shelf varied from 38 to 42 degrees. Best Buy replaced it with the exact same model and the replacement did the exact same thing.
I had Whirlpool send out a service tech. He verified my temperatures but couldn't find any issues. He said to load up the fridge to help it maintain a stable temperature. I loaded it up with jugs of water and checked the temperatures the next morning. The top shelf varied from 38 to 40 degrees. The bottom varied from 45 to 48. The freezer is at 3 degrees, so the compressor is fine.
I have another Whirlpool service tech coming out next week to look at it, but the customer service person on the phone was trying to tell me that it's just fine for the refrigerator to be as high as 45 degrees even though their own website says it should be between 30 and 40 degrees and that spoilage begins once food has been above 40 degrees for two hours. (Quote from Whirlpool website: "The ideal refrigerator temperature is about 37°F (3°C). However, a range of 33–40°F (0–4°C) is generally accepted as safe for most purposes. Temperatures below 33°F may freeze foods while temperatures above 40°F may lead to food spoilage." and "According to the USDA, bacteria grows most rapidly in temperatures ranging from 40°F to 140°F, and fresh foods can spoil if they’re exposed to temperatures above 40°F for more than two hours.") NOT HAPPY! I spent a ton of money on this fridge and only the top 25% of the fridge is at a safe temperature.

My son's fridge fizzled out and we shopped for a new one at Best Buy. After looking at many options, we decided this model would be the best suitable one for his apartment. He loves having a water filter, an ice maker and filtered water at his fingertips. So far, so good!

I really love my new refrigerator! It’s very nice and exactly what I was looking for. It’s sleek and simple but nice looking. I did have to wait a month to receive it because of Covid-19. I am sure the manufacturer was behind.

had an LG refrigerator that a repairman could not fix. Was going to take 30 days for parts. He actually diagnosed it wrong but we decided to buy American for the better service from Whirlpool.
