This is a really good fridge. My wife and I were searching for a fridge and we mulled over all the brands. After visiting many websites and stores, we kept hearing the name LG and Samsung. My wife and I decided to go with the Whirlpool over the Samsung/LG. The this mainly due to having to wait 2 or more weeks for parts to arrive from overseas and the lengthy repair times. The fridge is very spacious and love the bright white light. It looks great in our kitchen. The only drawback is it can be noisy at times. Highly recommended.

Love this fridge! Tons of options for storage with bins and drawers in both refrigerator and freezer. Ample capacity. Fortunately, I purchased Geek Squad protection, because unit has a known condensation issue about which I was never told.

I've had this frig for 2 weeks. Have a couple of minor issues. The water/ice dispenser tends to drip on the flat base area inside the door where the bottom of your glass sits. If you don't wipe it often the water can trickle down the front of the door, which is annoying especially after cleaning the stainless steel finish! :( The other minor issue is that there is only one shelf that slides back under itself for taller items such as wine bottles. Even with adjusting the entire shelf to the highest level tall bottles won't fit all the way under or to back of the frig. If it had one more notch they'd fit all the way under. Guess some of these tall items can be stored in the gallon size adjustable door bins. No real deal breakers. I will just have to get used to it. I'm pleased with the over appearance and features. :)

We had to get a new frig due to ours dying on Labor day. So we needed a fast ready to buy frig. Luckily for us this one was a return due to being too big for the persons house, so we got it at a nice discount. It fits in our house and our lives fantastically. We read there was an issue with the ice maker putting out ice after you stop requesting it but we haven't had that issue so I am not sure why others are having that issue. All in all huge and we are absolutely excited for our first ice and water dispenser type frig

Open box refrigerator purchase. When we arrived at home, spent 3 hours cleaning it out, then plugged it in overnight. It never got cold in the refrigerator part or freezer. Had to return. Best Buy customer service is horrible to work with. It is almost impossible to get someone to answer the phone and I was transferred around multiple times.

This refrigerator is outstanding for our needs. Plenty of room in both the freezer and fridge. Easy set up and easy to understand controls.

Got this refrigerator at a great price and it's definitely worth the money. Great space, very pretty and the sound system puts it over the top!

Great fridge with space for everything and everything in its space. Very versatile shelving, three small drawers and one full-width drawer for flat/short things. Freezer even has two full-width flat/short drawers at the top to separate out things from the bottom.

Looks great! Very nice addition to the kitchen. Love the Whirlpool brand, its very dependable! The capability to connect my Pandora music and play it in the kitchen is an unexpected bonus!

This unit, the Whirlpool WRF997SDDM is the sister model to the identical KitchenAid KRFF507ESS. The K/A has a 5 Yr. warranty on the compressor like the GE unit but also covers the entire liner for a full 5 years. Both the K/A and this Whirlpool have what LG calls a linear compressor that modulates its running speed to save energy vs. running full speed then shutting off. LG offers a 7 Yr Warr on their compressor. The LG will consume the most energy (784 kilowatt hours) every year but has an energy star Cert? The K/A and WP are at 778 KWH but lose the star since it's 26.8 vs. GE's 29.6 CU Ft capacity. The GE, KA & WP are the only units to have separate evaporators for the freezer and fridge to eliminate cold spots in the fridge but GE's ice maker takes a ton of space from the freezer. The K/A & WP ice maker is concealed in the roof panel of the fridge. It protrudes 3/4" from the top of the fridge and undetectable as an ice maker. It gives the K/A and WP units a true rectangular storage space in the freezer without the rear sloping pull out freezer drawer. Both the WP & K/A have two drawers up top in the freezer. Interior lighting. Along with the superior placement of the "TEN" LED interior fridge lights in the WP & K/A, The WP has another 4 wireless, downward facing MicroEdge® Glo LED lights IN THE GLASS SHELVES except for the sliding shelf, No other Fridge gives a more attractive, efficient and ergo set up. It's so effective that K/A offers a grey platinum interior option to showcase the lights. This WP model also comes with a concealed BT Harmon Kardon low profile speaker set up to place on top of the fridge called Coolvox. It's essentially a concealed BOSE speaker system that sits on top of the fridge perfectly broadcasting at ear level for Pandora, iTunes or my personal favorite, using the free Directv app on our Kindle to stream almost every live TV channel. The Kindle, iPad, iPhone or android can then broadcast the TV audio to the fridge via BT to cool or do dishes while watching a different show than what the kids are watching in the other room. We have K/A Architect Series II appliances in our kitchen. Our showroom model fridge was dropped prior to purchasing and not available new or locally anymore. We discovered that the WP fridge is identical to the K/A except for the warranty, the handles and the shape of the water/ice dispenser. Pacific Sales price matched this newer WP fridge for us, swap the door handles, door shelves, then remove WP logo off the door and replace it with a K/A logo. Best Buy has purchased Pacific Sales and some BB stores have Pacific Sales in the BB stores now. Our PS store is still a stand alone store in SJC, CA. I'm mentioning PS because of their dedicated appliance and TV employees. They cater to highline and entry level appliances with an unsurpassed 10 year warranty available for new or pre-loved purchases that runs $1-$3H dollars. We purchased this PS exclusive 10 year warranty that exceeds the BB and K/A factory warranty. I don't believe that BB offered this warranty.

We purchased this fridge from Best Buy and 2 years later we just went through 3 months of extended warranty repairs and now they are writing it off saying it cannot be repaired. This fridge is only 2 years old and I don't even have words for how poor Whirlpool's customer service has been. The freezer quit cooling, and this seems to be a VERY common complaint about this french door model from Whirlpool. They finally offered us a discount on a new fridge, and we are not going to take it because we hated dealing with the manufacturer that we would rather buy a different brand for full price.

Loud and the compressor and motherboard went out after 30 months after purchasing. Warranty is only 1 year and now the repairs are almost as much as the purchase price. I don't want anyone to experience what I have. Don't buy Whirlpool unless you get a extended warranty and read the warranty!
