For my new built in microwave, I needed a trim kit. When I first put it up against the unit, I thought that it would not fit. But when I installed it with screws, it was a perfect fit. My microwave looks great with it.

Cheap looking plastic

There are no other choices offered by Whirlpool for this size micro and insert. The one I am replacing is a Whirlpool and is metal and of much better quality. It was discontinued by Whirlpool. The replacement microwave and insert are made of a cheap looking plastic. Wished I had gone with a different brand, even though my other appliances are Whirlpool.

great option for the countertop microwave

excellent design, easy to install- looks clean. The hardest part of the install was drilling the 45 degree holes for the bezel support.

Trim kit was needed, since microwave is built in, surrounded by cabinets. Successful, though a couple glitches, and piece to go under microwave couldn't be used.

Purchased it as per the manufacturers recommendation, the purchase was easy, the shipping was fine, but the actual product didn't fit, it wasn't even close. That would have been fine but on the 16th day best buy wouldn't allow me to return it, So, no thanks i'll see you at lowes, home depot, or anywhere with a 30day return policy.

Did not work for the Whirlpool Microwave as website recommended. Big gaps on both sides of microwave. Went to return it (thought I had 30 days), only to find out I didn't.

The outside trim frame is plastic and requires screws to be at 45 degree angles. These were made better 10 years ago. I just used my old trim frame that was metal and it worked fine. I'll through the plastic frame away lol
