I had to return it because the sales person sold me the wrong fitting one for the microwave he also sold me. I’m kinda glad because it is definitely plastic with no vent. I’m going with a custom metal trim kit.

I couldn't find a trim for my whirlpool microwave so I tried this one. I had to lift the microwave a bit to fit the trim; however, it looks very nice and fits the color perfectly.

I am very happy with my purchase. It is plastic with a stainless steel coatings on the outside, but I knew that before I bought it. I did the installation myself and it went very smooth.

This trim was the wrong size for the microwave that I bought together. I couldn’t return it because I bought them 5 months before my remodel. But I had to make it work

Needed this kit to install a new Whirlpool - 1.6 Cu, Ft, microwave. the old one was already installed into my cabinets. the old kit would not work. the kit was easy to install. fit perfect in the space provided for the old one. gave it three stars because I had to use my old trim piece,

I already had an existing cut out for this. we had the Best Buy home consultant come out and recommend this one to us. Fits like a glove and matches our oven cover.

This trim kit does not fit Whirlpool's WMC50522HW microwave despite Whirlpool's specific assurance in the Q an A on this site that it does (currently the first answered question on the list). This is a basic fail in both product knowledge and support on the part of Whirlpool and Best Buy. I have attached pictures showing the clear incompatibility between the trim kit rails and the base of the microwave itself (the screw holes don't remotely line up, and the rails appear to be made for a much smaller microwave). I am awaiting a response from Best Buy or Whirlpool with either 1) additional approved directions for installing the trim kit on this microwave, or 2) a clear list of the Whirlpool microwaves that are compatible with this trim confirmed by someone that actually has some knowledge of the product. I will certainly think twice before trusting either Whirlpool or Best Buy again.

Trim kit fit perfectly around the microwave and centered it as it should in the cabinet. Very satisfied at the ease of installation.

Matches microwave perfectly. Does show fingerprints easily so we wipe it down often. Install was pretty easy.
