Best deal in it's price range - Looks expensive

I did quite a bit of research before buying this gas stove. I wanted a stainless look but I was on a very tight budget. All the gas stoves I liked were priced $1,250 and above. I looked at Home Depot, Lowe's, Best Buy, Amazon and various other places but II found this deal online at Best Buy and it was the nicest with the best features for it's price. I went into the Best buy store and asked if I could order it through their store....which I did. I was very delighted when the stove came - it looks really expensive and works very well. I like the warming/broiler drawer a lot as I never had that feature before with my older gas stove.

Too many things went wrong with this stove/oven

My original Whirpool stove was acting up after 10 years. So I decided to replace it with a new stainless steel model. The first one I ordered never showed up but that is not Whirpool's fault. Best Buy store/support could not tell me what happened besides being "in transit". So I cancelled the order after a month and ordered the same model online. Another month later it was delivered on-time. However, this second stove did not have a working broiler. Also it did not have self-cleaning which we knew from the start, but apparently that also means it is not sealed properly so when you use the oven it heats up the entire kitchen - and the glass door can burn you. So another adventure with Best Buy support until we arranged to exchange it for the same model. Again, it is special order so another month goes by. The third one was missing a screw so the entire heating assembly between the oven and the broiler was loose, making both unusable. Also when the installer was setting it up he noticed the shoddy workmanship and bad quality throughout. So, after more fun with Best Buy support and store finally we got a different model from Samsung. Best Buy would not repair it and I was not going to repair a brand new stove. We could have exchanged it, but then that would be another month before we get another Whirpool with some other defect. Seems that the factory is rushing these out without making sure they are assembled correctly or actually work. Also quality control should have caught these defects. That is a shame because there are a lot of good reviews on this model; however, Whirpool quality has gotten worse.

    Invest in a better one

I should have invested more money in a better range for the amount of time it's used. This looked good and I wanted a stainless steel look. But this is not a high quality range. The burners are so high it does take longer to cook, the boiler is so tippy, I spill juices all over and it is difficult to clean. Parts of the range which should be OK to touch during baking get so hot I have to keep my kids away. I would not buy this again and I regret I did.

It looks great & performs very well, but the black stove top shows every little dirty spot. So you must clean it often to maintain the sharp look.

Returned and purchased a better quality range

For the money this range is a joke, the oven has no insulation. My house temp raises more than 10 degrees when I use it. Cooktop burners are not sealed, hard to clean. Oven did not clean easily, was very small. Returned this range and purchased one with bigger oven and more insulation. If zeros were a choice I would have used it for more than one catagory.

    Cheap Stove

I thought I was getting a great deal for the price: 5 burners, griddle, but so not true. The back of the stove (where oven controls are located) gets so hot you can't touch it (even when just using front burners). And, it is cheaply made--loose. The grates are uneven, and set way too high from the burners. So much for sealed burners-they are not. The griddle is teflon, not cast iron. Frying pans & larger sauce pans do not fit on back burners. If not for the power burner, it would take a long time to cook anything. Totally disappointed!

This is the perfect range for those who are looking for an extra burner to cook on. The stove also cooks evenly all around. Love it!!!

The top of the stove gets to warm to touch sometimes; the burners on the lowest setting it still to high. Love the look, quality good be better.

Thought we were getting a good item being a whirlpool. What a joke - it took 30 minutes to cook a pan of bacon. The looks are nice but the grates are to high for the stove to be efficent. We took ours back for something differant. Horrible Horrible Horrible

I bought this 2 yrs ago on Black Friday. I find that I cannot heat oil enough to fry fish or most any thing in oil. The "Power Burner" will not bring 2 qts of water to a rolling boil. All the burners are under powered but can't turn down low enough too.The broiler handle broke-off in my wifes hand the other week. The metal pops and groans when heating up the oven. And the griddle is small like the rest.
