Generally don't write reviews but wanted double oven to replace old single, this range has had issues since we got it. Within a week the touch controls were junk and we are still waiting 3 weeks later to have repaired due to back order. We did like it the first week it actually worked I will say so the future will depend on how we like it long term

Since we bought this range 3 years ago, we have come to regret this purchase. The uneven heating, difficult to clean and easy to scratch "ceramic" cooktop and ultimately the total unit failure last night all cause regret. We dont even use it every day! It was expensive and pretty, yet neither of those facts matter now that the range must be replaced. Avoid at all cost, especially one as high cost and low quality as this one.

Arrived with a big dent, so they sent another. Then the clock didn't work. They replaced just that, and got it to work.for awhile. Self-cleaning function never worked correctly. Temperature in both oven is inconsistent. I have had this for 2 years and have no idea why I didn't return it within 30 days. Again, worst purchase EVER!

Elegant and stylish. The toast button is a huge hit in our house. It cooks toast perfectly every time. I use the upper oven more because it uses less heat and less energy which saves money. I have yet to use the bottom oven because the top rack is so large and perfect for all my cooking needs. I did have to get use to cleaning promptly after each cooking since I went from a coil top to smooth service. I also had to buy all new pots and pans due to some restrictions on the type of bottom you can use. Some surfaces could pit or scratch the smooth service, so please check your pans prior to first use. I was delighted to buy all new pots and pans anyway. I love the quick action of the pre heat button. I enjoy the lightening quick action to boil too. I really love all aspects of this oven. I would recommend this to others. And make sure to read the handbook on how to clean and which pots to use.

    IT'S ALL IN THE INSTALLATION

I am in love with my new oven! I purchased this oven to replace a Kitchenaid Architect Series Oven. This had features that the other one had the reverse and used to drive me crazy. The knobs are on top so no one leans on the oven and turns it on. The cooktop is so much better! It was constantly dirty on the old model and it made me crazy! This one it looks amazing! It has the double oven which I really have wanted for years! For those of us who cook for Thanksgiving it is a necessary evil. I was tired of having the door slightly open at the end with all the side dished heating up. This way I don't have to worry about having enough room and can start to heat up at the end of the cooking of the turkey! I love the double oven for normal days when the kids want to make pizza it uses less electricity and is easier for them to get to! I also added the microwave that I am attaching to this review. What I loved is it it is a convection and microwave. So I have 3 ovens for Thanksgiving!!!! I read all the reviews and realized that installation was an issue after I had mine. MAKE SURE CORY IS DOING THE INSTALLATION! My local store (Pinecrest) this was who they used. They came in with white gloves and took out the old one and then brought in the new one. They pushed it forward and made it flush with the tile on both sides OMG! It looks like it was made to fit in the space!

    Exactly what we wanted

My wife has been itching for a double oven, so when we decided to buy new appliances, that's what we looked for. After much comparison shopping we eventually decided on Whirlpool and we're glad we did. This range is exactly what we were looking for. It looks good, performs well, easy controls, and has all the bells/whistles that we want. Many compliments on our set of Whirlpool Gold appliances. BTW, we almost always use the small top oven. Energy efficient and very convenient. Install process went smoothly. Very happy with our entire purchase experience.

My stove is now 4 years old and it still runs like new. I have never had an issue with it and as long as I take care of it and also take the time to clean it properly, it will probably last me another 8 years or more. It is well worth the money and you can cook an entire Thanksgiving meal so easily!

    Im In Love

I have a baking side business and this oven just allowed me to take it to the next level. So far, being able to use the top, smaller oven has been great- it allowed me to get rid of my toaster oven that was taking up all kinds of counter space. I just got it ten days ago, but so far- I love it. It heats up fast and bakes evenly.

    Buyer Beware!

Smooth top is very difficult to maintain/clean (our old double oven smooth cooktop was speckled and wonderful, couldn't see much of anything). Issue with plug like others have, no ridge for protruding outlet to enter, so oven sticks out from wall. We've never had so many calls about an appliance. We were trying to decide between the LG double oven & the Whirlpool. We went with Whirlpool off the recommendation of the salesman. This oven sporadically will not preheat. We have video footage of a couple times when we've waited over half and hour and even 1 1/2 hours, just to prove what it's doing. It happens sporadically when you least expect it, so you feel you have to 'babysit' every time you turn it on to make sure it preheats before you waste 15-20 minutes before realizing you haven't heard the 'beep' yet. We also noticed early on that the front left burner is quite hotter than the others (back right seems to be hotter as well). We have children with allergies and cook with coconut and olive oils - they are not supposed to be heated past medium (same goes for non-stick cookware, which we use sometimes). So, we need to know that medium is *medium*. However, on this stove, it takes noticeably much less time to boil water on that front left burner, and you just never know if you're getting 'low', 'medium', or 'high' regardless of what the knob says. My son was gagging the other day as the coconut oil was cooking, it was so hot & pretty much smoking. If I need to simmer, I turn it to the lowest possible setting; on the back left & front right it needs to be closer to medium for simmer. Popcorn made between low & medium on front left cooks up immediately. On front right at Medium it sat for I-don't-know-how-long and only about 1/2 of the kernels even popped by the time it got hot enough (again, we cannot cook over medium, so just answering "well, turn it up" is not okay with us). If we put a griddle pan over right burners on medium the front food doesn't get cooked & the back food starts to burn. Two service calls were beyond frustrating, trying to talk me out of having a problem. They replaced the control panel and the switch, then said since they can't replicate problem (not surprising, it is sporadic) they will charge me for any more service calls, and it's "between me and Whirlpool now." My several weeks of testing show no more than 4-6 minutes of waiting to preheat (unless it sticks and I wait for 30-90 minutes!) We now have another service place working on it. Supposed to have had first service call with them on April 1. They called engineers instead, so we haven't actually seen them. They're going to put another control panel in and it's still not here (It's May 1 now). Stuck yesterday again when trying to heat to 375. This has truly been a nightmare. Not only having to deal with this while feeding three hungry children, but then having video camera ready to shoot footage to prove we have a problem. We paid for this product. We paid for it to preheat. I want to warn others so that they do not have to deal with what we're dealing with.

Like it, but am disappointed in one main feature

Love this stove with the HUGE exception of the spots that get on the inside of the windows on both oven doors - which you cannot clean unless you take off the oven door(s), then take the door(s) apart with your screwdriver and someone to help you lift, etc., the wipe off the spots on the inside of the windows and reassemble the door(s) and put them back on the stove! The problem is the vents on the top of each of the oven doors which lets vapors, liquids, cleaning products, whatever, get down inside the door windows! I truly love the clean look of this stove, but spotty windows drive me nuts!!!

Rapid Pre-Heat on Small Oven Fantastic

The rapid boil and rapid pre-heat options are fantastic. The "beep tone" drives me nuts. I've read the manual, but didn't see an option to lower/change the tone/volume. Please let me know if there is an override option. Thanks!

Looks great, need to turn food in top oven to cook even. Unfortunately, bottom oven latch stuck while still under warranty. Called Whirlpool and they sent someone the next day which was outstanding but the part has to come from the manufacturer and take at least a month. If this issue is a fluke then it is a great product otherwise….

    Very Disappointed.......

We purchased this oven in January 2015. All the kitchen appliances in our condo were nearing the end of their lifespan, so we replaced everything. Bottom oven is very slow to preheat, whether doing rapid or standard preheating. It took 40 minutes to preheat to 425 for two pizza crusts, then proceeded to burn the one on the top rack and undercook the one on the bottom (picture). Racks were only 1 inch apart. The top oven runs way too hot, while the bottom oven is all over the place. Also, if you try to preheat, then turn up the temperature, it will stay about 25-50 degrees below the original temperature, and never get any warmer -what the heck? The heat of the burners are anyone's guess -either way too hot or hardly hot at all, and it doesn't seem to correspond in any way to where the dial is. Overall, we're very disappointed with this purchase and it's already out of the 1 year warranty. Will not be buying any Whirlpool or Best Buy appliances ever again. Really wish we would have just kept our old oven.

I purchased this oven in January and have had 2 service calls on it so far. Trouble with preheating oven. Each service call takes almost 2 hours time with tech and now they don't even have parts.
