    Works well but smells

We did not want a front load washer because of the issue with it smelling after a few uses. The sales person convinced us that this washer had technology that would keep the smell from happening but it still smells. The machine works fine otherwise but I wish we would have gotten an old fashioned machine.

Love all the features and cycles to choose from. The only time you know the thing is on is when the pumpa activates and even then its not loud. This washer really makes a room pop with it stylish looks.

    Mold in the detergent tray

I thought I liked this whirlpool front loader until I removed the detergent dispenser and found mold growing inside. They don't tell you that you have to go in and clean the soap dispenser every month in order to keep it from getting moldy. I would have appreciated knowing that. Now Whirlpool is telling me that the mold can be contaminating the clothes in the washing machine. I am now wishing that I got a top loader.

Needed to replace a washer and dryer set that was in the house for over 25 years. So glad, we went with this model. Still has the quality and convenience the Whirpool name lives up to. the best part, the wash is so quiet, no more loud, noisy, banging!

Even my husband loves to wash clothes now because this washer makes it very easy and we are able to wash larger loads. Great product for the price and quality.

We always like Whirlpool over Samsung and LG. This one has a variety of cycles to choose from. You can load the detergent and it automatically puts it in when washing. So far very satisfied.

Great washer and dryer installation not so much

Since this set was going on our 2nd floor and was a little bigger then our old set we purchased a telescope vent for the dryer. The original installers did not put the telescoping vent in, did not tell us they did not install it and when I discovered it later that evening I was upset. The next day someone from the GeekSquad called to see if we were happy with our installation I told him the problem, he promised to have someone right out to install it. Never heard from him again. I waited about a week then started calling talking to managers. Each one said oh that's awful I will get it taken care of, they never did. I finally called customer service (3 weeks after install) Christopher said Oh that awful but set up an appointment with me on the phone. In the end the telescoping wand didn't work anyway but that was 3 weeks and many phone calls out of my life.

Don't break your back. We bought the washer and matching dryer with pedestals so it's easier to get clothes in and out. Machines are very intuitive and do a good job without damaging close.

Washer is very efficient and entertaining for small children to watch. Clothes are clean and not having to load soap with every load is a plus.

This is my third front load washer. Replacing whirlpool duet due to noise and mold issues. Love how quiet the spin is on this one. Old one sounded like a helicopter landing on my house. Love the feature of filling up the detergent only once every 10 or so loads. Just throw in the clothes and push the button. Have not used the steam feature yet. The clicking noise of the door locking is quite loud and there is a clunking noise when the water going into the washer stops - would give 5 stars if not for these items.

Our washer went down and after months of being without one we were finally able to purchase a new one. We wanted to stick with a Whirlpool and stopped by Best Buy to see what they had. The salesman did an excellent job. They had the washer we wanted but in a different color and not on display. He verified that their warehouse had the washer, then he looked up other stores pricing and priced matched the washer for us. That saved us from driving around. We were very happy with the wonderful service he provided and especially enjoyed that it was being delivered that Monday. Best Buy will be our first stop if we need anything else.

I really like this washing machine. Love the detergent holder feature. Wish is had a few more choices for delicate cycles. But overall, a great purchase and we have had no issues. Spins those clothes practically dry!

Love the load and go feature. It lets you know when the container is getting low or empty. It seems to use a correct amount of detergent. Have yet to really put it through its paces, but seems like it's getting the clothes cleaned.

We needed to replace our old machine and this was the perfect find. There are numerous positive features which are all easy to use. I've noticed a lot of water after each cycle. Hopefully this doesn't lead to mold.

    So Far So Good

I've only had the washer 2 weeks, but it's been good so far. I was disappointed to have to buy an extension hose for the exit water. My prior Whirlpool Duet came with a hose long enough to position the washer where I wanted. This one had to be installed close to the plumbing, then moved once the extension arrived. It also doesn't dissolve detergent pods well. The casings tends to be sitting in the rubber gasket area when the cycle is complete. Be sure to dry the drum, the gasket, and detergent drawer after use to prevent mildew smell, which happened with my prior front loader, even though I always leave the drawer and door open after use. They now sell an "Affresh" product to use monthly which is supposed to help. Time will tell, but I am optimistic.

Loaded with features, it is like night and day compared to our old top loader. We really like the Load n Go feature also which automatically senses the amount of soap to use for the load type. Great washer

Love this machine, have not had any issues with it. I do eliminate mold issues by leaving door slightly ajar after every use. I also use the afresh cleaner when needed.

We never had a front loader before and I am impressed. With the prices of water skyrocketing around here (yup...and only 2 miles from the lake) we figured it was time to go this route. Its hard to believe you can wash clothing that good with the little bit of water and soap it uses. It sure is easier on the clothes too than our old top load center agitator. Its perfectly quiet until the pump comes on to pump the water out of the machine. That thing is loud. I can't imagine how that much noise would be correct. I will contact Best Buy about that when I get some time.
