    Whirlpool Washer Dryer Review

Our family had been dealing with a washer dryer set we bought used around 5 years ago and it was definitely time for an upgrade. Nothing like taking a full 8 hour work day to accomplish one load of laundry because you had to reset the system and then bail out water at the end. That being said our new washer dryer set has been a revelation. It holds a larger load capacity than what I originally had thought and the noise is almost nil. No longer are we alerted that the cycle has finished with the well known obnoxious wail that accompanies most other systems. Instead, it’s similar to wind chimes in light breeze. The only thing that confused us was holding the start button for three seconds, but talk about a mundane thing to complain about. We’re more than pleased with out purchase.

After doing tons of research on washers I decided that this one was the one! I have had this washer for about a week now and so far I love it! My clothes are coming out cleaner! I have done lots of research on he laundry equipment and what detergents to use and how to use them. I am very worried bout mold because I have a sensitivity to it and mold makes me quite ill. From what I understand only about a table spoon of laundry wash goes into each load, and it’s very important to make sure that the washer, the door and the gasket are totally dry after completing laundry for the day. The load and go dispensing system makes over using of the detergent/soap almost impossible. This way I also know when other people use my machine they are not tempted to use too much soap/detergent...I love the swash laundry soap that whirlpool makes. It’s 8x concentrated and smells really fresh. At first I was a bit worried about this machine because of the bad reviews, but now I have it and have been using it I know I picked a good one! I plan to take very good care of it so that it stays fresh and clean for a really long time. I love how quiet this machine is! There is a little vibrating when spinning, I am going to purchase the rubber anti vibration feet and that should solve that issue. I also got the matching dryer and they work great together! I plan on stacking them and building a folding table with hinges so it can be easily stowed. I am not sure what the bad reviews are all about, because my machine is better than expected! Laundry is fun again! I love that they are made in the USA too!! I feel like I got a good set of appliances!

Had to get a stackable for my townhouse, I prefer top loaders but here we are. Lots of functions I will probably never use I just use a regular wash most of the time with an extra rinse. Hopefully it lasts a long time without any issues but I hear they don’t make them like they used to. 3 months without any problems! Woohoo! The door you put the detergent in seems flimsy the main door latch seems flimsy as well made of plastic. I don’t use the load and go dispenser seems like it’s just another place a leak can come from. It takes two seconds to put a cap of detergent in the top dispenser. The spin cycle can get very loud when rinsing your clothes depending on what you’re washing but it gets the clothes very dry so when you move into the dryer it takes less time to dry. Just a guy with regular clothes nothing delicate that needs special care instructions so it does what it suppose to for my needs.

This machine does a great job on our clothes but is noisier than our old Kenmore Elite that was 10 years old. This Whirlpool thumps pretty loud when beginning the spin cycle because of the counterweights, but it settles down in a few seconds. Another reason it’s noisy is the door window is plastic so it’s noisier than a glass one when the laundry goes slappity-slappity... The Load and Go detergent dispenser is so easy and convenient to use. This machine just uses a tiny bit of water and soap to wash laundry. It is energy star rated so utility company gave a $50 rebate. Whirlpool appliances are rated number 1 for reliability based on number of units sold vs number of service calls compared to all appliance brands. I still bought a 5 year Geek Squad service plan for piece of mind.

The washer itself is awesome, directions on the other hand is another matter! The manual doesn't explain things the way they use to. I still had to go on the internet to find out what it was doing and wanting to clear the message on the screen.

This smart appliance is awesome, I like the sensing feature in it makes the decision cycles for me it’s like, load it and done. I can fill the detergent dispenser for up to 22 loads. Very nice feature. The washer is not too big fit nicely in my small laundry room.

Washer is short on looks but long on performance.

Pros: —It's a Whirlpool: reliable and American made. —Cleans clothes well with basic fabric settings. —Soft touch switches in rows: "What To Wash" and "How To Wash It." —Load and Go bulk detergent dispenser. How did I live without this? —Runs quietly on fastest spin cycle. Our old Duet was deafening. —Robust rubber gasket has drain holes to deter mold. —Special drain hose facilitates cleaning the drain pump filter. Cons: —Generic looks. —Digital "time remaining" readout is too bright. —Main door, hinges, and latch are plastic. —Flimsy plastic detergent tray. Conclusion: —Ugly duckling washer. Inexpensive looks and feel hide a solid performer. I love the pros and can live with the cons given the price and reliability.

So far, so good. This machine has a little bit bigger capacity than my previous one. I washed a king sized microfiber blanket yesterday and it handled it extremely well. The one area that is a bit confusing is the front control panel. Why so many buttons?? I've had the machine a couple of weeks now and still only find 2-3 different combinations are necessary. It is a quiet running machine. The one other thing I would change is the volume on the chime when the load is completed. My last machine allowed me to change the volume. Keeping my fi gets crossed that this one lasts longer than 5 years!!

Love my new washer. I didn’t Think I would be able to find another great whirlpool. I had my old whirlpool for 17 years. When I called to see how much it would cost to fix it, let me just say it came out cheaper buying a new one. I figure to stay with the same brand since I had good experience with it. My new wash is bigger and washes great. Some reviews I read said it was loud but I have to disagree. It’s Quiet And efficient.

I loved this washer! I got a great deal on a floor model. So happy I came across it at the right time. I did not use the detergent store function. Clothes were always clean on delicate-cold which I primarily wash on.

My family and I have enjoyed this Whirlpool front loader washer. Extremely quiet and very easy to use. Coming from a Cabrio top loader, I was worried about not having the recommended pedestals. The pedestals were unavailable to purchase "out of stock" in various locations. I'm only 5'5 so the bending to remove clothes have not been a problem just yet. Overall I am impressed with the look, style, and operation of the front loaders. I would recommend this product.

I am short so Front load washer and dryers are definitely my choice. I had such good luck with my previous Whirlpool Duet Front Load washer and dryer that it was Easy as to which brand to go with when after 19 years of tremendous work, we needed a new washer. I went straight to Whirlpool! You want the Best.. Go with Whirlpool! I LOVE these front loaders! So easy to use and our clothes come out so clean and fresh and practically dry right out of the washer! That spin cycle is Incredible! Seriously cuts down dryer time!

Owned and used 2 years so far. We love it. It is important to us to support American manufacturers when we can. Sadly its hard to do, and when you do it's usually more expensive and lasts half as long. Or 2/5 if you're a car. (Lookin' at you Dodge.) Our Whirlpool washer (and dryer) are exceptional. Zero issues. Easy to use and to come up with every imaginable setting. Does the job admirably. Also: kinda sexy. There's a really light white on white carbon fiber pattern on the door I didn't even notice in the store. It was easy to hook up by myself by following the printed (important) instructions. I hear front loaders are prone to mildew but we've had no issues. I wipe the clear plastic on the door as well as the rubber seal occasionally, and leave the door ajar as per manufacturers recommendation (and honestly leaving it open is just a lot easier.) Pre-soak, steam clean, extra rinse, drain and spin... all of the modes are functional, there's none I don't use. We're extremely happy with all aspects. Small gripes: 1. I wish the cycle signal was louder. With the laundry room door closed we're lucky to ever hear it. 2. I think the load and go detergent feeder in the bottom drawer is inefficient Either it uses way too much, or it's telling me I'm low on detergent when there's really a lot left. Or I'm really dirty and I don't know it but the machine does. So we use the traditional drawer which works great. But brings me to 3. The door and said detergent too drawer can't be open at the same time. Its ticky-tack, but if it were open and you yanked the door open, best case scenario the drawer pops out worst case you break something.
