After 2 months, is still working well

I've used both the standard bucket method and the optional method of attaching a garden hose to run it into my sump pump. There's a hole in the back where you screw in the garden hose. The garden hose is not included. Noise level is comparable to other units. The real question is will it die after 2-3 years like my previous 3 units, but they were Kenmore & DeLonghi brands. I'm hoping Whirlpool will do much better. But based on these bad prior experiences, I bought the 4 year Geek Squad protection plan. The fan shuts off once it reaches the desired humidity level, which saves energy, unlike the DeLonghi which ran the fan all the time. My local electric company gave me a $30 rebate for buying an energy-efficient model.

Second one is great; first one wouldn't work

Brand new, right out of the box, the first one didn't work. Not a huge deal, except that I had to squeeze in an hour drive to the closest Best Buy to return. The BB Customer Service Rep was great and set me up with another one that arrived a few days later at my house. It has worked like a champ non-stop now for about a month. For the features and price, this dehumidifier checks off all of the boxes. Can't give it 5 stars because of the first one not working.

I really like this dehumidifier. It runs quietly and is easy to empty. I like that the temper and humidity are shown digitally.

Read many reviews before choosing this little beast. It does what it's supposed to do. Using it in my basement on rainy days and 3 days after rain. This thing covers up to 400 sq feet. Only problem is after 4 uses mildew built up on bottom tray so I add 3 teaspoon bleach to prevent that. In a nutshell I would recommend.

Purchased in January 2019 as a replacement for a Kenmore dehumidifier that stopped working properly. This unit seems to work very well so far. Time will tell if it continues to work as it should. The Kenmore unit it replaced lasted approximately 2 1/2 years. This unit's bucket is emptied approximately every 24 hrs.

I replaced my 12 yo Whirlpool dehumidifier with a new one and I love the timer (set for 4-5 hours instead of running continuously). The bucket is a little sticky to remove but I will figure out the secret. I tried to buy a second one but the price went up from $178 to $199 so I am holding off.

Won't stop leaking after 2.5 years. I cleaned the coils twice a year. Cleaned the drain flow that goes to the bucket. Fins and air filter and extremely clean. But it still leaks.

    TIMER DOESN'T WORK

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Tried setting the timer to shut off after 6 hours, then to come back on after 6 hours -- DOES NOT WORK. The unit shut off after only 4 hours and didn't come back on. I followed the instructions EXACTLY. Either A) I got a defective unit or B) You need a PhD in Rocket Science to operate this function. FRUSTRATING. My Kenmore (which I had almost 15 years) was EXTREMELY EASY to set for 6 hours on/6 off. NOT THIS ONE. Other than that, I'm still trying it out. Letting it run continuously for now, unless some "expert" can help me out. RIDICULOUS. Just giving it 3 stars for now. I really want to get this timer function right, or else it's going back, and I'll be purchasing another make/model. Right now, I wouldn't recommend it due to the timer not working!
