The washer is great and does not have a sour water smell like our precious front loader but the washer is loud while it spins.

The washer is good size and looks good. It is reletively quiet, but it seems to wash for a long time and at the end the clothes seems to beexcessively wrinkled.

My fiancé bought this (along with its dryer twin) and love it thus far. Purchased in October, the install process was easy (my fiancé did the installing). It is super user friendly, has just the right amount of settings that anyone who isn't familiar can do a standard load. I LOVE this size, it is the reason we went with this instead of another. We have large comforters that require washing frequently because of our dogs and they fit perfectly in here. I was worried that they wouldn't get super clean but that is not the case! They come out super fresh. I also love the way there are different compartments for detergent/fabric softner and bleach. Also, very easy to clean!

Large Capacity and Works Good

I will admit there are options I don't even use, but I suppose they are there if I need them. The wash cycles seem longer than my previous washer, but the capacity size is great. If the load is off balance I really like how the machine will fix itself. I miss my old washer only because I could rinse my detergent cup out while the load filled.

I went into Best Buy after my washing machine broke with intentions on getting the cheaper model Whirlpool since it's one of the best brands. Me & my wife starting looking at the differences of each machine including the ones that were a little more expensive. We saw this one & were surprised at the cubic feet this machine has. We purchased this, had it delivered & I did 4 loads with no problem the first day. Excited that I don't have to try to stuff our king sized comforter into a machine with an agitator anymore & the spin cycle doesn't leave whatever is in the machine soak & wet. It's somewhat quiet & I do like the little compartments for the HE detergent, fabric softener & bleach. The machine makes sure u put the right amount of everything in it. Definitely worth the upgrade.
Now the only problem that I have was the first day when I was doing 4 loads of laundry, my old dryer decided to quit on me, lol. I told my wife before hand that a few months from now we would get the dryer to match the washer. Now we went back to Best Buy & bought the dryer to match this. Honestly, I'm excited to get the dryer now.
The only thing that I'm disappointed in was the delivery service. I wanted it initially delivered on a specific day around a certain time frame where the salesman said was no problem. The problem was that he never set up a time & I was forced to wait an extra day to get this machine. Second issue was on that second day they told me they would deliver it in the evening & I ended up getting a call in the morning at work & I was forced to leave early just to get it or I would have to wait longer. When I ordered the dryer I made sure they are delivering it on Saturday. So I'll be back to rate the dryer.

The product is outstanding, but the delivery service Best Buy provided went above and beyond. They were in and out in about 20 minutes but took extreme care to ensure our new appliance worked and that the old one was taken away.

Does the Job, Not in Love with it

The Cabrio does a good job of cleaning clothes; the problem with this machine is the spin cycle. It spins clothes so thoroughly that they wrinkle excessively. I'm not sure when water became our enemy, but spinning clothes until they're almost dry does more damage than good. I used to own a Calypso, which I loved. The Cabrio is no Calypso. The good news is I've learned to manipulate the settings so that I can select the lowest spin cycle to protect my clothes. The other feature I do not like is the lid locking once the machine has started which means you can't add an item of clothing once the cycle begins. This is just not how people function. I want to be able to add clothing when I need to. Lastly, I'm not sure how this is energy efficient; it takes twice as long to wash a load. So what I may be saving in water I've got to be paying in electricity. To get around this, I select Quick Wash for almost everything. One more point...I'm glad my laundry room is downstairs on the first level; this machine is noisy!

This washer was a replacement for model #wtw5000dw (which was horrible). Love this washer. Spin cycle is great! The only fall back is it takes much longer than my old washer (over 12 years old) but it has a much greater laundry capacity. Definitely would recommend this to anyone.

I just love the large capacity of this machine. We have 3 stinky Great Danes and throw their bedding in the wash 1-2x a week with no problems. After a year of washing some pretty questionable things off their beds its still working great!

We've had this washer for the last 3 months; I'd owned other Cabrio pieces before and was pleased with them. Same story here: very solid, quiet, and efficient.

I bought this in august 2011, and recently noticed it has an out of balance error message, and tried to get it fixed . the repairman said to get it fixed i would have to replace the tub and bearings to the tune of 400.00 as that is how this machine is designed. so for a machine LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD, it is NOW junk..
i am now looking for a NEW ONE. 2 1/2 year life span is NOT A BARGAIN.

water efficiency too high

After owning this washer for more than 2 years, I have decided to get rid of it and replace it with some thing not quite as efficient. The water level it uses is too low which results in re-rinsing. That is not efficient. Even using very little detergent has not resolved the problem.

Stay away from Cabrio

Design flaw in basket and shaft, which in other models is $150 repair is $450 for this design, because the whole basket has to replaced and washer rebuilt. Google it and you will see how pervasive this problem is with all Cabrio

It does not clean dirty clothes. I have to hand wash my infant's clothes because the washing machine will not clean the baby puke off his clothes. I have to wash my husband's work pants 2 times to get them somewhat clean. I have been going back and forth with BestBuy and Whirlpool with these issues, and neither has helped me with my concerns. I believe this was $750 WASTED!!! Friends of mine went and bought one just like it, I told them my story. They returned it the next day and went with a front loader. They are very happy with their new washer.
