I had this unit for a few days already and I've never been so enthusiastic about washing and drying clothes again. The unit replaced our old Kenmore Oasis Elite not because it had issues, but it was guilty by association (dumped it's horrible, error prone partner, Kenmore Oasis Elite Washer- those are terrible- AVOID!!) This unit is much quieter than our old Oasis Elite and what is most impressive is that it dampens the sound that you usually hear when you're drying sweaters with metal zippers- no more click, clang sounds. I put this to the test last night while we were watching a family movie. Dead-quiet. I'm also impressed about the EcoBoost feature where it lengthens the drying time, yet uses a lower temperature. I'm confident that this will help the cost for energy bills. The clothes don't come-out partially damp and perfect every time thanks to the wet/damp sensor. Another thing I also noticed is that the fabric softener sheets I put into the dryer seems like the smell isn't completely being absorbed into the clothes. Instead, I reduce it to 1 sheet and it does the trick. Before you purchase this unit, I really, really recommend that you purchase the Whirlpool pedestal (Model #XHPC155YU) with this as well. This makes a big difference if you have lower back problems and want to avoid the unnecessary hassle of bending over, taking the clothes out, and then transferring it to the hamper. Reaching in and doing this all from a standing position is much more simpler and less painful- and the pedestals hold a ton of items. It has a center-divider so things will stay in place. This is a must buy!! So far, I'm happy with this product and I am confident that the build quality will last a very, very long time!!
