Installed about one month ago. Installation was easy. This unit does not have a pump for the drain. I was already setup with a drain pipe so just had to trim the drain tube to fit in my drain. It has an internal filter that you have to purchase separately. Working great so far! Only negative for me is the price. I got it on sale for about $1480 from Best Buy.

We bought the ice maker to supplement our refrigerator's ice maker. We were forever running out of ice at dinner parties and having to get bagged ice at the store. Our available space was quite small for one so when we found the 15" one we had to get it. It makes ice quickly and it is good ice. There is a filter so the ice tastes good too. My only complaint is that it heats up the space around it quite a bit. It has to be in my pantry for now so that has caused us to do some reorganizing to keep perishables away from it. Other than that it is a wonderful addition to our kitchen.

This ice maker works great but is a little loud. We also had to purchase a pump to drain the water since the water was not going to drain straight down.

This unit replaced an existing unity hat was fifteen years old

Turns out a lot of ice. Maybe a little noiser than old one, but no big thing. Makes the small ice (maybe 1/2 inch sq and 1/4 inch wide). But it works great.

Have had icemakers before. However, the product has yet to be delivered.

Product is wonderful, we had problems with installation and pick up of old icemaker, but local store resoved those problems

We put this unit in our laundry room by back door and it is perfect for "heading out" (golf cart ice chest!) Wish it would have had a pump for clearing out water - otherwise great

great to have in an office boardroom easy to install and looks great

I love our new Whirlpool ice maker! Our previous ice maker didn't have a filter but this one does! It's comforting to know that we can enjoy fresh, pure ice!

After owning a Kitchenaid ice maker for many years with great success, I decided to purchase the Whirlpool 15" Gold machine since it was on sale and the reviews were positive. From the very beginning it produced very thin ice, similar to small bathroom tiles. I tried to return the machine and wanted to buy the more expensive Kitchenaid again. I was told NO by Best Buy because I was 3 days too late to return. Have had 5 visits from Geek Squad with multiple parts and repairs done. It still produces very thin 1/4 inch X 3/4 inch ice that melts as soon as it goes into a glass. Still hoping for a resolution from Whirlpool or Best But. But as of now I would NOT recommend this ice machine.
