I was under the impression this movie was a comedy (3 comedy lines in the whole movie) due to all of the pilots shown on TV and on the box the disk came in. This is more of a drama and a form of documentary about a news reporter. Wish I had not spent the money in purchasing this movie. The film critics really missed this movie. They must not have seen the movie. They just made up their opinion.

This was a good film that both my wife and I enjoyed. It was different than expected and Tina Fey did a great job.

There is no this movie is worth a watch, but I cannot recommend whether you should buy it or rent it from Redbox. I do not have buyer's remorse, but in talking with others, it is about 50/50 the people who do and do not. I would wait until it goes on sale, $12-14 range before buying to be safe. It has it moments where it is funny and great, but there were also many times when it was not.

Based on actual events this was one of Tina Feys best performances along with "This is where I leave you" the cast was great and the story well written and Martin Freeman gives an amazing performance as Tina's love interest. Definitely a good purchase that we will watch again and again.

Tina Fey has shown she not only can do comedy but drama as well as she goes into a war zone, from a true story.

Tina Fey does a good job in a dramatic role. The movie portrays Kabul from the media's perspective. Good movie.

Not as funny as I'd hoped but gives you interesting back story into the war and journalists life and dangers

Mediocre movie with decent plot, but nothing special. The artwork jacket says you will laugh out loud - and my family ended up baffled how they can claim that. This is not a comedy. It is mostly a movie about a woman trying to figure who she is and what she wants out of life/career - by stepping outside her comfort zone and taking an assignment that stretches herself.

Longer movie. Was more drawn out that expected however this was necessary for the story line. Great watch!

Definitely not what I expected from Tina Fey & co but an eye-opener into the world of combat journalists

This was a good movie, but not really a comedy that it is portrayed as. Still good moments, and good acting.

If you like Tina Fey then you will like this movie. I recommend this if you are looking for a good comedy.

My first inclination was to skip this as just another war exploitation movie. But, a friend told me otherwise. I was very pleasantly surprised with this one. Tina Fey did a great job in the leading role. It seemed very realistic as judged from my experiences when deployed.

I love Tina Fey and watch everything she's in. But this was a great combination of funny and emotionally resonant. Kim Barker, who wrote the original book, "The Taliban Shuffle,,,," could not ask for a better actor to translate her experiences onto the big screen.

This movie shows the real talent of Tina Fey. It is great to see her serious side as an actress.
