Anime, unlike live-action film, is usually made at a lower resolution/quality compared to live action material, so outside of a future HDR implemented version of Ghibli's material, this is likely the best the film will ever look. Be assured, this is the version to buy as of 2020. Make sure you buy the GKids release, not the Disney version!

This is where the character Baron Humbert von Gikkingen (also seen in "The Cat Returns") is introduced along with his future sidekick, moon, and given a bit of a back story. This film does a great job with character development and a willful female protagonist trying to find her way in a busy world. The ending is not the best of Ghibli films, but does not take away from the journey.

"Whisper of the Heart" from Japan's Studio Ghibli is another wonderful example of some of the best animation, not just from Japan but from anywhere. This movie features vivid animation with a charming coming of age story about a young girl who discovers herself thanks to some new friends she makes at a mysterious Antique Shop. While the movie's ending is a bit overdone, overall it's a great story, rendered beautifully.

This was one of the few Studio Ghibli movies that i haven't seen and it didn't disappoint. Very nice story and i love the music. This metallic steelbook cover is a nice touch as well! If you are a collector, this is definitely worth it. jr_hybrid_collectable

I really loved this movie (although it didn't have any magical aspects as I thought it would) the story line was still great. Even though this movie is not about a grand adventure since it just showcases the story of a young girl that is trying to discover her talent as a writer, it was still enjoyable and fascinating. Also: the shipping was fast.

This is one of my favorite Studio Ghibli movies. Baron Humbert von Gikkingen makes his presence felt in this movie before his ultimate return in the Cat Returns.

Whisper of the Heart has always been one of my favorite films from the legendary Studio Ghibli. It's highly underrated. I'm so glad this one was given the steelbook treatment to join with my Studio Ghibli collection! Thank you GKIDS

Studio Ghibli takes you into the adolescent world of friendship, growth and maturity. The characters of this heartwarming tale are typical children who are at the crossroads of their lives. Make sure to listen to the words of the opening scenes, it really sets the tone for the whole movie. Excellent Job Studio Ghibli

I started watching this after not being able to watch it in a long long time, probably 5-7 years...And right off the bat, I noticed...THe audio is kinda wacky...But the movie itself is unhindered. I noticed TONS of references that "The Cat Returns" has from this movie, and its a wonderful story about love.

Hayao Miyazaki has made yet another animated film that one may truly call a Masterpiece. Produced from Studio Ghibli back in 1995, it has hit its 20th anniversary! A truly wonderful film made by Miyazaki-san for many families to enjoy.

This movie was beautifully made. My wife and I enjoyed its message in finding our hidden worth and refining it over time, not to expect perfection in our first attempts but that our dreams and goals need constant refining and maintenance to have true value like a geode with raw precious stones.

We have almost every Studio Gibli movie ever made. They are a constant joy for the small part of us that holds on to the delights of childhood. this film will also warm the hearts of grown ups as well. I highly recommend the story craft and mastery of emotional range this movie brings forth.

An adolescent love story that is beautifully done. Not a lot of fantasy aspects as in other Miyazaki films, but still a cute and fun film. True and strong love of the purest sense, and a story about following and persuing your dreams. An all ages film that is warm and fuzzy.

I love these new releases of the Studio Ghibli movies. The slipcovers are really nice and line up well together. Whisper of the Heart is one of my favorite Studio Ghibli movies and I'm happy to add this release to my collection.

Whisper of the Heart is not one of the more well know movies in the Ghibli catalog, it is a well done tale of youngsters finding themselves with approaching adulthood. Noteably it introduced the evergreen popular Japanese version of John Denver's Country Roads.

I love all the ghibli films and this was another one I had to check off my list and add to my collection. I recommend to all who enjoy the art style of his films as well as those who want to experience the lovely story too.

Studio ghibli did a wonderful job in this movie creating a story that would remind you what it was like to be young and in love (or at least having a huge crush on). Would definitely recommend this movie to anyone.

Hiayo Miyazaki is a gifted director. Unique in his own ways he sees things differently and creates a wonderful story line. His imagination is beyond this world. Hilarious and funny. This movie will be enjoyed with the whole family
