I had to buy one on amazon for substitute. Overall, it is a great unit that quickly cool my bedroom. The noise is not too much compare to other unit I had in my house. Easy to set up and even have wheels for ease of transport.

I have a studio and it cools it within minutes and keeps it cool The dual hose is really important for the performance.

It is easy to operate and quietly and effectively reduces ithe humidity and temperature. It is relatively easy to install. However, you have to be prepared to cut the extender to fit your window and then put in some installation tape to block any holes. This is not that challenging but it is something that should be included in the instructions.

I am sure it would be great for a room with 8 or 9 foot ceilings. I called the Whynter Customer Service before purchasing to clarify some information and the Customer Service representative was readily available and helpful.
