I really like this game. I like the way it tracks the calories you burned and they workouts are fun, so it's like you aren't really working out! It kkeps track of your progress, both good and bad and keep you on track. Love the Kung Fu! I can really feel my calves burn in the Segway race. The step aroebics, biking, running, skiing are all fun! You can even add your dog. I say this is great for teens and up. You do need a Wii Fit Balance Board.

I had to purchase this installment of wii fit plus the first one was uh not really that great...it had some fun activities but nothing like wii fit plus.. the plus in wii fit is a nice touch! Love the snowball fight.. and the more options for balance, yoga, training, and of course more in depth when we talk about my wii fit plus..and you can do more planned and focused workouts to get the most of the wii fit plus. I wish nintendo would of come up with this installment first... more activity, more fun, and its a little more challenging! The kids love it too! now some games more repetative in nature and you will find yourself wanting to switch to something else soon. But for some of the games that you enjoy playing you end of playing over and over again! A must buy for your wii fit balance board as well. Cannot go wrong with this purchase..bottom line if you want more wii fit plus then you love what it has to offer. Go out and purchase this! Good for family fun and burning some calories.

Great Update

I was pretty excited when I found out that Wii was coming out with an update for the Wii Fit. The main issues with the original Wii Fit was that it took way too long to do a circuit of anything. You spent 1/2 your time going back to the menu and looking at how many points you got and blah blah.. Now, with the customizable routine, you can choose what you want to do beforehand and then go through the exercises. You can also choose from the Wii Fit's pre-programmed routines. Even though there are only a few new yoga and strength activities, it is still better than before. The new games are a lot of fun, but I can already tell that some are going to become the Wii Sports' version of baseball. You play a few times and then eh, it gets old. I wish they would have set it up so that you can add games into your workout routine so it adds a little more fun into your workout. Overall I enjoy the game and would recommend it to others.

I am completely in love with the Wii Fit Plus! I had the standard Wii Fit at first and I enjoyed it, but it was a bit more limited with the variety of things you could do. Now, you have more options in other categories and they are all quite fun. You don't think much of them at first, but the next day, your body remembers that you actually DID workout.
You also have the option to choose the amount of calories you want to burn in that session. (It's a little sad to know you can work so hard and burn so little calories, but that's not the game's fault)

Wii Fit Plus w/blance board

I now know why this fitness program is so hard to come by. No matter what your age, go out and grab this game if you require motivation!! Inspiring to a healthier life, you'll get in shape w/o dressing & driving to a costly gym, pouring out $ week after week. After only 2 weeks of workouts, I went from a "physical age" of 80 to a 48, which is flattering imo since my true age is an appalling out-of- shape 60!!
Set up is easy for every techno-challeneged person like me so that was quite relieving. The varied workout levels are challenging but allow you to advance at your own pace, but most impressive is the end results from those effective 20 minute routines. I'm moved and motivated.I've purchased every exercise equipment and dvd out there; Nothing worked. This program does!! It's truly astonishing. My only regret is not having it sooner.

This game is excellent. I love the variety of activities and the games are challenging. You have to have the balance board, but I've also been finding that the best games are ones that use the balance board. Make more like this one!

This is by far one of my most favorite games on wii (if not my favorite). It's like getting excited to play after school sports. I have been most surprised by how much i sweat and that I get sore like I do in a gym when trying new workouts. Be sure to try all of the games a few times because the games I think I will like the least end up being the ones I love the most. Sooooo fun and perfect for people who are not able to get outside during nasty winters. I also like that you have to get good enough to unlock the more difficult levels. This game definitely challenges you and motivates you to get moving in the most fun way. I hope nintendo comes out with more games like this that work with the balance board specifically.

The Upgraded version is great. I really love it that you can change partners from the icon at the bottom of the screen verses having to go back to the Wii menu. There are more yoga, strength, balance etc games.
I wish they had upgraded the text after each Yoga exersice as well. You have to listen to the same thing over & over again, when all you want to do is move on to the next step. Over all its worth it.
But now what do you do with the old one??

Wii Fit Plus allows several people to play together, although one at a time. With the original Wii Fit, the user would have to log out and the new user log in to take turns. The Wii Fit Plus is much better in that regard. It can be a much more competitive (and fun!) this way. What I don't like is that it continues to have the chatty interface, with the animated board or whatever talking to me, instructing me and trying to coach, motivate and educate me about fitness. After playing a few times, users no longer need that much detail....I find I spend too much time waiting for this thing to shut up!

A welcome improvement over the original Wii Fit

After owning the original Wii Fit system and game, this extension to the original appears to have taken in to account many of the things I know I wished they'd have included in the original. The better upside here is that Nintendo did what was RIGHT and is only charging $20 for this if you already bought the original Wii Fit system - instead of $40-$50 as though it's a new game.
As an owner, I use the Fit mostly to strength train, and this is where this system falls short. While it does include workouts to assist with this, the pre-set regimens available on Plus don't include anything geared toward strength training. I wish they'd have put as much focus on this as they did on weight LOSS.
Overall the new games, and new workouts, are a welcome addition and improvement over the original.

I was able to make a smooth transition. The new games are really clever and a lot of fun. But I was a little disappointed that in the build your own routine section, the combinations from the original are not written anywhere. So unless you remember them from the first game, you won't be able to easily build your routine with alternating combinations of yoga and strength exercises. I ended up calling my daughter who hasn't upgraded yet and she wrote them down for me. The combinations seem to be available in the new section that offers pre-done workouts. So it's a small dissppointment. Everything is really well done and I have certainly played the game and lost track of time because of having so much fun while also getting a nice workout.

Wii Fit Plus is a great implovement over the old Wii Fit and I thought the origional was very good. The process is more streamline and easier to use. It also gives you the option of setting up routines which is a real plus. I am very pleased with the product.

A Fun Game With A Fitness Theme

Wii Fit Plus is a pretty solid title overall. Not much story, really. Mostly just a collection of exercise-themed mini games that work with the Wii Balance Board. If you're motivated to lose weight and get in shape, this is a fun little way to do it. The game includes some nice features that will help track your weight, BMI, and overall health; these are really nice so that you can see your progress over time. I think the only flaw of this game is that it can get repetitive, but that's true of exercise in general. It'd be best if you had two or more people using it regularly so you could motivate each other and compete to get high scores.

I got the wii fit pro for Christmas. I am new to wii, but have really enjoyed it so far. I did a lot of research about the game before purchasing and read a lot of bad reviews about it. I'm pleased to say that so far I have had no problems with the game. It's easy to use and it's fun. If you're looking for a work out that going to make you sweat and burn off a lot of calories this is not for you, but if you want something that gets you up an moving and starts your metabolism burning in the morning this game is great. I use it when I get up in the morning for about an hour. I usually do a handful of the yoga and strength training and then some of the balance games. I found it to be accurate in measuring my weight. The first time I stepped on the game it got me just right.

It is as difficult, as your want it to be. Graphics are not important with a game like this. You can customize a routine for as long as you want it to be, and it is very easy to change your routine. New activities are nice. It uses your stored information from the original Wii Fit, so there is no need to "set up".

If already own the Wii balance board and like Wii Fit, I would say go ahead and buy Wii Fit plus as this is more or less an expansion pack. You get more balance games, a couple more yoga poses and exercises. The best new feature of Wii Fit Plus is the option to choose a workout regimen tailored to the time you have to exercise or to your target areas. Being able to weight your pet is also nice. Navigating around the menus is better but still a pain.
If you are new to Wii Fit, don't expect it to be your only source for losing weigth or getting buffed. Instead, think of it as an additional tool to motivate you to live healthy.

When I heard you were going to be able to create a seamless workout routine I was expecting to have the new and old games as part of that routine and that wasn't the case. You can only choose from the yoga and strength exercises. I had the Wii Fit already and found myself doing the free step all the time because of the ease of use and constant activity and was hoping to make the games easier to add to my daily workout without having to go back to the menu. Overall the new game is fun but not quite what I was hoping for. I can see why it's only 20 bucks.
