Having only played retro Nintendo systems I was on the fence on getting a Wii U. The system came with a preloaded super Mario 3d, needless to say Nintendo hasn't missed a step in creating a good game that attracts kids and adults. This system provides fun for the whole family, my kids are 5 and 3 they have put the game pad to the test and I haven't had any problems with it. Overall a well built product.

Not a lot of new stuff but improved graphics and more control options than the Wii. Yes, some games will never make it to the WiiU console and the fact that you need an external HD if you want to download games isn't ideal, but the console is pretty fun as the games are very entertaining if not 'hard core', especially if playing with friends. The bundle with the Mario 3D game is a really good one.

I've been really happy after upgrading from the Wii to Wii U. Our kids love the Mario games, in particular Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario 3D World. I was also happy the HDMI cable comes in the box. If you're not a current Wii owner, make sure you purchase a Wii Motion Plus controller for all the gamers in your house and a rechargeable battery solution so you don't burn through the AA remote batteries.

I realize that the WiiU is not as advanced as the Xbox One and PS4 but I like that in general the Nintendo games are more geared toward children. The family-friendly aspect of the WiiU is what drew me to it mainly. And we have lots of Wii games already. It's great that it plays all of the Wii games and uses the same controllers. No need to buy a bunch of new hardware. Overall, lots of fun!

I was holding off for a while and just keeping my regular Wii. I wasn't sure if it was worth it to spend the money just to have that handheld controller with the screen. We finally got one and I should have upgraded sooner! The LCD controller is a great little tool when playing alone or with someone. It provides an extra layer of capabilities. Not to mention the console is backwards compatible!

My son love the Wii U, and has played with it almost every day since he received it.

I've bought almost every game system produced over the years. I'm still a huge Super Nintendo fan. But the Wii U system is just so much fun. There are no other games like the Nintendo games, and while we appreciate other systems, such as Playstation 4, for what they have to offer, the Wii U has become a fast favorite in our house for after work playtime and weekend fun. Worth every penny.

User friendly and does not require a lot of technical set up.The games remind me of the original Nintendo Mario games. The console and games are child friendly and appropriate for younger children.

I bought my Nintendo Wii U while Best Buy was running their Black Friday special. I am extremely satisfied with the system and I feel that it is definitely a great way to spend some time with your young ones. We received four games with the system - Super Mario World Wii U, Super Smash Bros Wii U, Nintendo Land, and Donkey Kong. Would highly recommend this system to parents of young children.

Nothing spectacular when thinking about the Wii U. I feel as if it is just an upgraded version of the Wii. I'm more of a PS4 or Xbox One player where COD, Destiny or any other first person shooter games are more of my gameplay. However, the Wii U is perfect for children or for a family. There are the usual Mario games and Super Smash Bros. That's what I usually play. There are Zelda and Kirby games as well but I'm not as interested in those type of games. Overall, I would recommend this for a family or for your children. Can't go wrong with Mario Kart 8 or Super Smash Bros. Mario Party 10 is coming out soon too. Those are some good family games and for a small get together with friends.

If you are looking at this system, please understand that you would not be expecting A quality graphics. The graphics are still good, but not PS4 or Xbox One level. The Nintendo Games, especially the pre-bundled Mario World 3D (no disc, just loaded on the wii U) are great and fun! I would recommend this for a family and casual gamers, Hardcore gamers may be a little disappointed.

This is a gaming system that is fun for our entire family and is easy to operate. Our daughter had cancer and after 2 years of chemotherapy needs to exercise and work on regaining her balance and stamina. The fitness and dance games she has for the Wii U give her a fun way to help work on her recovery.

I was never one to purchase anything Nintendo, I'm more of an XBOX/PS person. But I decided to take a leap and buy it. It really is a fun console with entertaining games. I like that you can play with the gamepad independently from the TV but the only thing I wish was better was the distance that you could be away from the console. I can only maybe get 20ft or so away from it and it says it's too far. I'd like to be able to play in my bedroom. I wish the gamepad was somehow connected to wifi so it could have a longer range.

Easy to set up, good games for all ages i guess. Been keeping me entertained.

Graphics we're excellent. Set up was easy. Console was different. My son really likes all the upgrades from the wii. Games are better than the wii. Best part, can play all the wii games

Note; this review is strictly of the console as boxed in this bundle and freely available software, not considering other games. As a console there's some inspired design here, particularly in the interface. The controller is a great blend of multiple technologies into one very operational package. The software is pretty sparse, however. What is present is well designed, but there's not much, even when digging through the app offerings on the online store. As for the included games, Super Mario is hard to mess up at this point, and this iteration doesn't disappoint. Nintendolands has a few minigames that are fun, but ultimately not of much consequence.

Easy to use and more game options that are more appropriate for my 7 yr old

I have hesitated so long on getting a Wii U thinking it was just a glorified Wii, I was so wrong! The games are incredibly fun and it got me to be addicted to collecting Amiibos. It was awesome that everything from the Wii could be ported over to the Wii U. Definitely recommend picking this up!

I love this system. Easy to set up and easy to use. I love the option of having the game on the TV or on the controller. I have been very happy with this console since I have set it up!
