Surprised Oliver Stone would produce such a weakly written plot. The writing suffers most although attempts a strong casting falls short in this wandering story that lacks focus and meaningful value. I viewed this with wiser and experienced eyes over initial TV viewing in 1993 that found much lacking. Sadly this did not hold up over time. Thank you Kino Lorber for preserving as it was out of the unusual for television drama. The upsample to 1080 blu-ray is well done.

Packed with stars from the 70s and the 80s, Wild Palms is a Twin Peaks-inspired strange journey of an ABC TV miniseries through a weird America made very Japanese through corporate culture. You can thank Oliver Stone for this experience, as well as the graphic novel that inspired the TV mini-series.
