i didn't know that the game needed a subscription. paid 60 dollars for it only to play it for a month. game also needs a lot of playing time to accomplish anything. it would have to be your full time job

its really a decent game at best. graphics are mediocre. the story line is a little dis-jointed. they don't take it too seriously which is cool, however, the game is lacking identity.

The Next Great MMORPG

I'm a casual gamer who just enjoys being able to run around a unique world with friends and friends to be. I've played a lot of MMOs since growing bored of WoW's ever declining difficulty scale, descent into panda silliness, and the ever constant traditional fantasy settings for almost every MMORPG that comes out. What's wrong with a good blaster or maybe a chronomatic hyper nano sword rather than steel? In an MMO gaming world flooded with elf and sword WoW clones, Wildstar is just something different and does it right.
The telegraph combat system makes combat a worthwhile experience eliminating auto-attack and sit back and spam tactics. Is it more difficult? Yes. Is it more rewarding? Definately. Does it exasperate one's carpal tunnel syndrome? Maybe? The Paths system gives each character a new a experience to their progression essentially providing four questing subsets to add onto your leveling. Endgame content looks to be more involved and deep than any other game out there that hasn't been around for 5+ years. The game will have player housing upon release along with professions designed to specifically support that system with housing decor.
Seriously, the stuff these developers (guys who worked on WoW) have come up with is just crazy. Check out the site www.wildstar-online.com and watch the dev video series to get an idea of what this game has to offer even for the casual gamer.

The next best thing

This game is basically old school warcraft meets Tera-ish combat. The humor is great and the combat is a big step up from previous MMOs that have entered the market. if you've tried wow in the past and quit for whatever reason, you should give this a shot because you'll be hooked again. super fun in every way. the housing alone makes this game worth it - check out the "devspeak" videos on youtube

Simple gameplay with easy quest and fun skill tree to level up. Reminds me a lot of vanilla wow. Just a really fun game to play!

I have really enjoyed this game from its award-winning soundtrack, to its myriad gaming environments, world-class building and crafting and its wry story writing. Oh, and I get to customize almost everything: faction, skills, race, weapons, armor.
The story is not like anything else.
