unit is loud and under mount switch panel is of very poor quality .. broke after few months of usage ... on a service call for over 45min still nothing.

This product is cheaply made. After 1 year, it needed a new control switch. I wouldn't recommend this company.

(Mine is the 36...but the 30 has the same switch) The switch on these is cheaply made and breaks easily. I have had my hood for less than 2 years, and the switch has broken TWICE. (Light switch / button will not catch in the on position). What is truly infuriating is that the company will not respond to me. I dutifully ordered a replacement the first time, but am loathe to do so again, as it is clearly a bigger issue than one defective. If you decide on this brand, be sure you know how to repair them yourself....the parts are expensive enough, I'd hate to pay for labor too.
