I bought this unit to replace a Cuisinart wine chiller that I had been using for champagne after it developed fan problems. I should have researched more carefully, for while this new one is beautifully designed and quieter than my old one, the shelves are not configured to accommodate large bottles like champagne, so I ended up using it for chardonnay and red wines at the compromise temperature of 57 degrees, which I found online is suitable for the storage of both. Last night, I decided to change it to just chardonnay and that's when I found out that the shelves are not configured even for this arrangement. In short, this unit is a beautiful choice for those who wish to store their reds at the ideal temperature, but it is a compromise, at best for anything but the slimmer red wine bottles. I don't keep that much red wine at the house, but I think this will encourage me to stock up. I drink more red than white anyway. I sure love it, but hadn't bargained on the size restrictions.

Keeps my reds at a constant 55 degrees, which from what i've read, is an ideal temperature. The inside of our house gets around 79 during the summer months, so this will be perfect.

Great little wine cooler with low profile holds 12 bottles in very little space. perfect for counter top and beneath upper cabinets. Touch sensitive door allows easy adjustment of temperature and internal light off/on. My only criticism is a result of its compact feature. Closeness of shelves make for a tight bottle fit and no room for non-conventional oversized bottles. Looks and works great though in a minimum of space.
