The album was good at the time. McCartney needed one last album for Capitol before moving to Columbia records in the early 80's. There was more than enough material for a two record set. With the original art work, this is a great CD to pick up for a McCartney collection. (Just a quick footnote, the statue in the snow on the cover of the greatest hits, is also used on the cover of "Back To The Egg" his first album for Columbia.)

It's nothing really "new" - just 12 of Paul McCartney's classic songs upgraded to sound better than ever. That is a tough job, because these are some of the greatest songs ever unleashed to public ears from 1970 through 1978. Like the rest of the world, I was devastated to learn that Paul quit The Beatles, but he did not quit composing music that will last forever. He was, of course, 90% of Wings, but..."Band On The Run," "Jet," "Junior's Farm," "With A Little Luck,"...all of the memorable tunes from the early post-Beatle era are here. No one - but no one - can compose a silly love song better than Sir Paul!
