Good item but take a lot of water …. I have to at least 1 gallon of water per day …. Quite love it

I have had this item for over a month using it daily. My room is approximately 180sqft and this unit is definitely capable of raising the humidity in there. It is very easy to maintain and for my purposes, 2 gallons is enough water to last 3/4 days with constant use. Thus far, no leaks and the unit functions properly including the warm mist function. Just be aware that the warm mist will take time to build up temperature. My biggest recommendation would be to use distilled water with any humidifier, not just this one. It eliminates the concern for mold/mildew build up and also avoids the "white dust" complaint many people have that use tap/bottle/filter water in their units. I did not give this 5 stars because the humidity gauge is not accurate. I have a calibrated hygrometer in my room and, for example, if I set the winix to 55% my gauge will read 65-70%. It always oversaturates the room but I combat this by either lowering the target humidity % OR lowering the mist output.
