I had heard a lot about Winter's Bone but never had the opportunity to see it. It was a great break out role for Jennifer Lawrence. I thought it was well acted, but a little predictable.

I didn't really know what to expect from this movie but it turned out to be a not so bad movie. She was on a mission with a purpose but ran into a few road blocks.

Jennifer Lawrence was amazing. Interesting to see her in such a different role. Hard to believe this film was produced for two million dollars. Very realistic storyline.

I found this movie in the cheep box and decided to get it because I like Jennifer Lawerence. I did not know what to expect. She is good but the story was difficult to unravel.

I found Winter's Bone (DVD to be a very good movie though bleak but with an undercurrent of hope that shines through. Jennifer Lawrence is great as the Ozark teen Ree Dolly.

Bought the movie to see a younger Jennifer Lawrence, before "Hunger Games" and "Silver Linings Playbook". Good acting and interesting story, but pace a little slow.

The directing immediately brings you intro the storyline. Jennifer Lawrence delivers an excellent character. Great camera work filled with conflict and suspense.

This drama is about a teenage girl that is trying to protect her family from getting evicted. She's a 17 yr old that cares for her mother, little sister and brother. Her father is a runaway convict and the house they live in was put up for her fathers bail. As his court date is coming up The teenager Is dealing with the sheriff and the bonds men trying to catch him. She has to follow his drug trail before her family looses their only home. It's great and for a young girl she is brave.

A movie that Jennifer Lawrence was able to shine in and show a different side of then what we are used to seeing her in the Hunger Games. Intense Movie!

I really liked this movie the first time I saw it. When I saw the price I had to get it. Now I can watch it again and again.

Found on sale and couldn't resist buying at such a good price. I like Jennifer Lawrence and suspenseful movies so this was a perfect combination.

this movie is about a town very close to where I live I enjoyed it because i could recognize some the names and places they mentioned

My boyfriend loves Jennifer, so I purchased it as a gift for him. We haven't watched it yet... but looking forward to seeing it.

The movie was pretty good, but Jennifer Lawrence carried it. You could tell it was early in her career, but that she was going to be a star!

Excellent story/screenplay. Wonderful acting by entire cast. Very enjoyable.

Lawrence gives a great performance here in a story of a desperate girl on the verge of losing the only thing that matters to her.

I love movies and I like to collect them. If I see a movie I think is good and I can get it for $5.00 or less, I will buy it. I read somewhere that this movie should have gotten an Oscar. A young Jennifer Lawrence gives a great performance. But the story is very dark and depressing and not one I'd go out of my way to see.

Great performances and a very dark story. Enjoy watching it, but is a tad slow in parts. Ending was extreme!
