Since I like chilling and suspenseful movies to keep me awake, this was great. Jennifer Lawrence did a great job.

I randomly came across this movie and the plot on the back sounded intriguing to me. This turned out to be a great movie

Jennifer Lawrence's performance in Winter's Bone hints at the talented and multifaceted actress that she was to become.

This film is one of the earlier Jennifer Lawrence fillms. It is NOT her first, but it is surely the one that put her and her beautiful face on the Hollywood "map!" The film is well acted and suspenseful. The best that I can say about it is that when you are watching it, it feels like you are watching "real life" in the Ozarks! Seriously! And it was actually filmed in the Missouri Ozarks.

I love the main actress, her acting was great just like in hunger game. She had a lot of responsibility to be so young.

If you're into movies about family secrets and what extent each member of the circle would do, this is the movie for you.

I liked the movie, but it was hard to watch. It was too real and showed a life style that I can only imagine.

winter bone was an okay movie with some drama of typical backwoods drug dealing style/ way of life.

Starts out a little slow, but finally starts putting a story line together.A surprise ending is worth the wait.

J-Law's 1st movie? Fantastic. She's out in the sticks with a sick mom, 2 siblings, and a missing father. The intensity follows as she attempts to find out what happened to her father. It shows how a person can find strength that they never knew they had and what desperation looks like. Overall, Excellent movie.Good for teens and over.

My wife wanted the movie and after watching it, I have to say that I really liked it!!

I liked her in other movies, but didn't like this movie.

Some the characters & situations felt forced and not realistic or relatable. I was hoping for more of a mystery that would eventually be solved, but the plot didn't go the way that I was hoping for. If you're looking for a downer drama vs. suspense/mystery, this is film is for you. Jennifer Lawrence did do a great job though, as always.

This movie paints an image of bleak desperation mixed with signs of hope and redemption. Fabulous acting.
