    OMG! This is exactly what I needed. I like to use my iPad outside and my router is all the way down the hall on the other side of the house. Plugged this in closer to my patio door and voila....I'm screaming through the Internet now. My games all run smooth with no sputtering or waiting waiting waiting. Configuring was a bit of a pain, had to call the 800 number and the first person gave me WRONG info.....reset it and configured through my iPhone and worked flawlessly. If you have dead spots in your house or you want to extend your signal, this is the answer. My DL speeds are now even higher than what my maximum through AT&T says they should be...love it!

    I bought this to connect my desktop that does not have wireless card through LAN port. This was not easy to setup. I tried it several times in different ways until could get it connected and wireless working. But I could not get the LAN working at all. So I returned it to store.

      The RE200’s LAN port will automatically forward network and Internet data to your desktop PC once the unit has been successfully setup and connected to your router via Wi-Fi. Please ensure the extender is being installed in a location where your router’s Wi-Fi signal is sufficiently strong. We also recommend re-verifying your Wi-Fi password and/or re-configuring the unit to ensure successful setup. The extender’s “RE” or “Wi-Fi Indicator” LEDs will help you verify proper installation.

      If you’re experiencing difficulty connecting the extender to your router, we recommend setting up the device in the same room as your router, then relocating it after setup is complete. We also suggest re-verifying your router’s Wi-Fi password during setup, or if using the WPS setup method, ensuring the WPS process is performed in the correct order. The extender’s “RE” or “Wi-Fi Indicator” LEDs will help you determine which position in your home is ideal.

    I could never configure this device because the extender would not access the internet. I tried for a week with two calls to Customer Service and several email exchanges. Their ultimate conclusion was that I had a defective device and should return/exchange it. I did return it but exchanged it with a different brand, which "configured correctly" the very first time I tried. KUDOS to customer service: they would at least answer the phone without being placed on hold for very long; however, they did not appear to be very tech savvy beyond cookbook suggestions.
