Let's face it, there is no good shower speaker system. Best Buy acquired a company that always made cool products with bad execution at a high price. This product follows that Sharper Image philosophy. The MP3 stand on this guy has a swivel 3.5mm jack that is only convenient for certain players like the advertised sandisk player or the iPod Nano 3G (fatty). it comes with an AUX cable to plug in players that don't fit well on the stand. The cable that came with mine had the worst cable quality I have ever witnessed, and actually lost a channel of audio when plugged. I had to provide my own cable to get all the sound to transfer through. The clock on the device looks cool, but is only visible when you press the small clock button on the bottom (to save battery life) which is a bummer because I need a clock that reminds me that my shower is taking too long! The mount uses three suction cups (very secure in my test) and allows the device to be dismounted easily without taking off the mount bracket. This way, you can take out the device and use the built in stand to place it on your sink (or wherever you desire). The radio signal comes in clear, but is slightly muffled (expected from any shower radio device). The MP3 cradle will send the audio clear enough as long as it is in the bathroom. I set it up in my bedroom (about 30 feet away from the bathroom) and the audio VOLUME drops significantly, so I can hardly hear it once the shower is running. The quality of the wireless audio, however, isn't half bad for a device of this kind. So to sum it up, a good idea executed halfway decent. The mirror is nice, the clock is cool looking, the audio from the MP3 is good enough (as long as you bring your own cable or buy a certain player that fits in the awkward placed jack).

My kids love being able to listen to their music in the shower. My husband prefers the radio. It is easy to switch between mp3 and radio. The clock is easy to read for those of us who don't see so well without our glasses. It attaches easily and securely to the shower wall. I find both the transmitter and the mirror a little bulky, but we didn't buy it for the mirror, which truly is fog free. This is another great product from Sharper Image.

This radio is great, Ive had it for a few months now, and it works amazingly, the sound is great and has wonderful radio coverage, I see that most people got it so they could listen to their iPod I haven't used the iPod dock yet I only use it for the radio in the morning. The fog free mirror really is fog free and the clock is handy. The only problem that I've had with this product is that the suction cups don't stick to my shower, I don't even have tiles in my shower but it still doesn't stick, so its currently being help up by duct tape. Over all I love this product and definitely recommend it.

I was doomed from the start when I purchased this product. It violated my cardinal rule for gift giving "never give my wife a gift that needs to be plugged in", trust me on this one guys. Although the concept is good the performance is lacking. There is no AM tuner and the FM tuner is not very strong. For example it could not pull in some stations that are in town that a radio sitting a few feet away received easily. The MP3 feature seamed to work fine but tuning it in was a challenge because of the controls (this is where my wife gave up). Ergonomically the unit has some drawbacks. The radio is very thick and clunky, with the mounting bracket it stands out form the shower wall a little too much for comfort. Also the control buttons are all the same size and located closely together on the side in such a way that you can not see them. So when you push a button you're never sure what will happen. For the price I expected more. I've purchased a lot of great products from Best Buy over the years this just wasn't one of them.

I Love it! I was hesitant at first after reading the many reviews on BB's site and others. But I figured them all out! And I'm SO happy that I did! The Audio. I connected the AUX cord to my iPod. And I agree. At first it had terrible sound! But I turned the AUX cord around. I connected the side I had on the base to my iPod and vice versa. It worked. it sounded Great! Now, the Power Lock suction cups. Wow. This was my first time using Power Lock suction cups. I got the triangle suction cup and turned the black things so that the round pegs faced out. That was my 1st mistake. Then I poured water on the cups (ok, i licked them as well) and tried to get them to stick in my shower. And they did not. it took a bit of research on my part, but I figured out that you don't lick these suction cups. And you don't close them either. Before you turn the knobs, put it against the tile, THEN you move the knobs onto the correct position. THEN, once it's suctioned on tight (and it will be), That's when you mount the mirror onto the suctions. Had i known this, it would've saved me A Lot of time and frustrations. ;) So, besides all that, I LOVE it! The sound is Great! And it's Suctioned properly in my Shower!

This unit is very easy to set up. Sound is just OK nothing special. The reason I will be returning it is because the suctions cups do not hold on my shower tile. It has fallen 4 times.

For the price, this is a decent product. The suction cup mounting kit is super solid and works great. Sound quality is what you should expect out of a waterproof system in this price range & there is plenty of volume range. I had the same issues with the 1/8" to 1/8" input cable as some other buyers (poor sound quality & low volume initially), but I switched the cable ends and it works fine now.

I bought this as a gift and so far it is great! I think that the mirror could be bigger and the sound quality could be a little bit sharper but overall it is a really great product for the price! I've never had a shower radio that would play my Ipod without the danger of actually having the ipod in the shower with me. Even with a protective case, the thought of bringing my ipod into the shower was a little unnerving. I am so glad that this product will simply transmit whatever is playing on my ipod to the shower. The suction cups are strong and I have had no problem with it falling off of the wall. The clock is bright and clear. Overall I am very very happy with this purchase!

MY daughter loves singing in the shower, so I bought her one for Christmas. Couldn't get that one to work at all, so I had to bring it back to the store. Not a great way to start out. The second one had worked well until the unit fell off the wall a second time (one of the suction cups doesn't like to work and because of the design, you can't realign the cups to put a weak one in a less vulnerable position). Now, less than 7 months later, it no longer works. The radio reception was a bit spotty, but I'm willing to blame that as much on our location as I am on the unit. Additionally, the mirror "hides" a compartment which is now visable unless we tape the mirro down.

I was hesitant to buy this at 1st bc of the reviews about it not sticking onto the wall. I have a stand up shower and it sticks to the wall great. The sound is very clear and plenty loud enough. Hooks up very easily and the radio stations come in nice and clear. I'd highly recommend this product as I haven't had a single problem with it.

I bought this for my teenage daughter. It's a bit pricey for a docking station and mirror. It is a pretty item. It sticks to the wall with 3 large suction cups. If you have a tile wall, the suction cups will not work unless you can manage to get each one completely on a single tile. I could only get it to stick on two at the same time.

First, the MP3 function completely stopped working. That was about two months after we'd gotten it. Then, the radio fell off the wall one day when the pads came unstuck and the sound quality was just awful after that. I couldn't even listen to it.

****A MUST HAVE FOR GADGET FIENDS AND MUSIC LOVERS!!!!!*** I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and he absolutely LOVED it!!! He uses it every morning so he could listen to his favorite morning show in the shower and get a nice shave with the fog-free mirror. The transmitter works perfectly from a far distance, and it also plays music from your iPhone or iPod so you don't risk getting it wet in the bathroom. You hear the music LOUD and crystal clear. It also displays the time on the mirror so you always know what time it is in the shower. Another cool feature is that the transmitter can also recharge the batteries needed for the mirror, so you never have to worry about the batteries dying out and buying more. Overall, this product is GREAT!!! Its the best present I've bought my boyfriend so far. I LOVE IT! :-)

We thought this would be the perfect answer to a couple of purchases we had been wanting to make: a way to listen to our iPhones in the bathroom and a shaving mirror all in one. Well, the mirror itself was easy to install and I liked the clock that appeared at the push of a button. However, for music playback it was not great. Had a hard time getting it to consistently play, would often turn off after a song or two, and the mini plug cable that was included was of such bad mono-only quality we had to use another one we had around the house for stereo sound. Sound was really bad for spoken voice - I had been looking forward to being able to listen to NPR in the shower but this device couldn't do it. For some reason the FM transmitter doubles as a battery charger - why? It is too bulky for what it is. After giving it a try we decided to return it and get a different, lighted shaving mirror instead and a separate device for iTunes/iPhone playback. For the price it should work a lot better.

My husband, as he was trying to install the shower radio, was trying to remove the suction cups to reposition them. As he was doing it, the plastic frames for the suction cups broke. Other than that, the reception is OK, with some showers receiving a better radio signal than others.

Fantastic Product. Very cool. Very easy to set up, suction cups work wonderfully in my shower, nice and strong. My base sits about 10 feet through 1 wall away from my shower, it get's a very good quality of music. Obviously if you move this thing 20 or 30 feet away you will have problems, just keep it semi close. Be aware however that the Audio jack is on the bottom, as the base was designed for 5th gen iPods, not any lower. Basically, you need an iPod where the audio jack is on the bottom of it. If you don't have that it, it will still work, your iPod will just sit in there upside down. Great Product. I would deff recommend it to anyone who's looking

It's an awesome product! I'm quite pleased! The only thing that's not so great is the occasional static, and lack of radio station quality...but for ipod users like myself it's wonderful! It's saving my ipod from a wet death! :)

I thought this unit would meet all my needs. Unfortunately, it only plays the radio and my ipod (in a strange position). Fogs up continuously and doesn't stick to wall because it is too heavy.

Basically, avoid this product like the plague. I was attracted by the different features but none of it mattered in the end. I tried to attach this radio to the wall of my bathroom shower with the suction cups. However, the suction cups are the worst quality ever. I couldn't even get the things to stick on the wall. Eventually, i got a secure connection to the window. I thought everything was fine and about an hour later, i heard a crash coming from my bathroom. The suction cups un-sucked and the thing fell and broke on the bathroom tub. I returned it and got a $10 shower radio and it works great. Totally avoid this product, it's poorly made.
