Although all P.F. music is great, there are scenarios where you might call one album great, and another really great. This is one of the Really Great albums from P.F. On top of the albums greatness, the media (vinyl) pulls you in more for the experience. You can fight all day in many circles about what's the best media, but you can't really argue how "involved" you need to be to play a record. Two thumbs up on such a wonderful album!

There's no need to critique the musical content on this album. It's Pink Floyd. If you didn't like them you wouldn't be reading this. The music is just as incredible as it was in 1975. This re-release is a very fitting tribute to the content on it. The vinyl is heavy, extremely well pressed, and gorgeous. It sounds velvet smooth, the highs are bright, lows are tight. It is simply pleasing, and stunning, to listen to. Turn the lights low and leave the cell phone in the other room. Close your eyes, relax, listen closely and enjoy. The jacket and sleeve are faithful reproductions of the original release. Even the post card is included. If you love Floyd, and have re-discovered the beauty of vinyl...or even if you're just now starting into vinyl...you must buy this album.

I love vinyl's, I love music, and this album is one of the best out there. There's a reason why Pink Floyd is still one of the best even though these songs came out almost 50 years ago. If you love music, this band should be one in your collection and the price that Best Buy had it was great.

Easily one of Pink Floyd's best albums. This remaster looks and sounds great. I saw Pink Floyd perform this album along with Animals during thier "In The Flesh" tour in 1977. The package comes covered in dark plastic with the Wish you were here round sticker attached to the front. I remember opening my original copy in 1975. Back then the album appeared to be just a dark blue cover, the artwork was only revealed when you ripped off the blue shrink wrap. It was startling because it was unexpected, just like the music on the record. With this copy I've decided to keep the black plastic cover and sticker intact by carefully slicing the opening to access the record. You can't go wrong with this album.

Bernie Grundman is one of the best Mastering Engineers on the planet and he really did a phenomenal job with this masterpiece by Pink Floyd. It's hard to imagine this could be any better, especially given the age of the tapes it was mastered from, but even then, this is still surprisingly amazing. Super quiet pressing. Dead flat. Packaging is A+. Cannot recommend enough.

This remaster version is absolutely amazing. The album first of all is one of the best from Pink Floyd. The quality of sound is truly unmatched. Very happy with the record. I read some reviews online before I purchased because there are a lot of version of this album out there. The reviews claim this is a good version and they were correct. Extremely happy with the purchase. Also found that Best Buy has good prices on their albums and seems to have a wide variety.

I don’t have to tell anyone how great this record is. I will say this much though, I looked at in its black shrink wrap and remembered how odd it was when this was first released that they had covered the album the same way. Kudos to the record company for doing the same for the remaster in trying to relive that experience. Buying a record is an experience that cannot compare to buying a cd and I’m not even going to mention mp3’s.

I read reviews that some of these are knock-offs but decided to take the chance and purchase it anyway. If MG is etched in the vinyl, it's the good remastering. Fortunately for me, I got the correct version. It sounds amazing. I love all the layers of packaging as well. I was a bit bummed however because I thought a postcard would be included because other sites online advertised this. Upon my second time listening, I found the postcard. It was in a really conspicuous place but I was really happy to find it.

Classic Floyd. What else needs to be said? Sounds great on vinyl. Just one thing. Though this is the 2016 release, the album is the 2011 pressing. You can tell from the signature of the mastering engineer on the album deadspace near the label. For whatever reason, the 2016 release in America has the 2011 album in it, but the European release contains the 2016 pressing... I don't care, but for some purists living in the states, it may matter.

I have the original UK pressing of this record that was a hand me down. That version sounds great. I feel that the remaster sounds even better and is up there with the Dark Side of the Moon remaster.

I got out of the vinyl game a LONG time ago but kept my collection. I'm back in the swing of things, and have come to appreciate clean-sounding vinyl. I've also learned to appreciate Pink Floyd in recent years. Now, I'm glad they're releasing these remasters and I really love how they're sounding on my simple record player. I can appreciate the collectors, but dang these sound exceptionally good.

At the height of their popularity and riding high from Dark Side of the Moon, this LP takes a stab at the recording industry as a whole on "Have a Cigar" and honors former founding member Syd Barrett with "Shine on you Crazy Diamond". A fantastic album necessary for any discriminating Floyd Fan!

This is a great LP from Pink Floyd. Like the Dark Side of The Moon this is one of the best. The actual LP sounds great, excellent remastering quality excellent. I bought this LP in the store and I hope Best Buy expands their selection over time. It’s fun to wander through the stacks.

amazing album obviously. key to remember when buying the vinyl is to make sure it's release date is 10/14/16 and the sticker on the package says "mastered by bernie grundman from original analogue tapes" If it doesn't say that on the sticker (which should be on the right side) then you'll get the 2011 Doug Sax remaster which you DONT want.
