    Guitar rock might be passe for some, but for admirers of any fine and sensitive musicianship, Wishbone Ash remains a great pleasure. Though this first album is not as "experimentally-spirited" as "Argus", it has more than a few high points. The twin guitar counterpoint is already well in place.

    This is the first album released from one of the best hard/progressive rock bands of the '70s or any decade. They are largely and unfairly forgotten today but are well worth a listen. Two versions of the band still play today and a great alternative version of this album is available and called 'First Light'.
