This is a nice personal and travel BPM. Quick (only takes about 30 seconds) and connects to the Withings App to keep track of your Blood Pressure. You don't need the app though as it also has a display that's kind of modern retro (see pics).
Very slim and small packaging make it perfect for use anywhere including travel. (A little smaller than a can of soda.)
Rechargeable via Micro-USB, so no dealing with batteries.
App was easy to install and it automatically saw my new BPM and added it.
Great for techie or NON techie for a quick instant read of your BP.

I have the body plus scale for years no issues so i wanted a bpm system. Brought this yesterday and app says 0% battery. Charged it 2 hours still 0%. Overnight still 0%. Attached to a powerbank. When pressed a rectangular button with three dots flashes in the middle. Returning this today maybe for another one or a complete different company. If it cannot run of an external power source and only the internal battery then the life cycle is 3 years which is unacceptable.

So far, this product is amazing, especially if you travel a lot.
Unboxing: The product does not have a whole lot inside the box. It comes in small detailed packaging but inside you will really only find the unit itself and some warranty documentation.
Design: I have had previous similar devices and this one is quite the improvement. The body itself is small and compact yet feels extremely sturdy. There is a micro USB connector on the bottom (wish it was USB-C) and a button on the front to control it (more on that later). The strap itself is flimsy in a good way as it can be used to wrap it all the way around itself when not in use for compact storage. The fabric feels high quality and the “velcro” element is minimal as the sticky / fuzzy parts are minimal
Setup: It is very easy to set up within the Withings app. Simply press add device, select it, configure the Wi-Fi and you are gtg.
Use: This blood pressure device is the best out there. I say this because it solves a huge issue that most similar devices have… it can work as a standalone device via wifi once set up! You do not need to have your phone on hand to get it moving and you do not need any bluetooth get readings. If your phone is gone, you simply put on the device, press the button to select 1x or 3x measurement and go! It syncs on its own! Once your measurement is complete, it will show SYS/DIA/HR readings and allow you to select which user it is on the display. With one button this is controlled via short or long presses, long presses cycle through options. The only thing you need the app for is to see detailed readings and to change any options such as 60 second measurements or 30 second measurements.
I travel a lot for work in places with no internet, so the ability to roll it up, take measurements and sync up when I get home is priceless! If you need to carry a blood pressure device with you through the day or simply want to track this for health purposes, this is the one to buy! It also syncs with Apple Health.

I am so glad that I got the Withings BPM Connect Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor. The first thing a BP monitor needs to be is accurate, but part of being accurate is being easy to use. Of course, a BP monitor has to be well constructed and contain high quality technology. However, if you can’t get a BP monitor properly placed or it frustrates you as you’re trying to use it, your readings will be off. Everything about the Withings BPM Connect is conducive to easy, calm usage, and based upon comparisons with my previous BP monitor and the readings in my physician’s office, its readings are accurate.
The ease begins with the setup. The instructions in the packaging gave me the website address for the Health Mate app and instructions, and from there it was just a few minutes of downloading and button pushing – very intuitive and user friendly. The BPM Connect device, itself, is also very user friendly. I simply slip it onto my arm – the only thing to remember is to have the “on” button closest to my hand, not my shoulder – and snug up the band. Then I push the “on” button and wait the few seconds it takes for a reading. The reading is immediately displayed on the device, then it is accessible via the Health Mate app. The BPM Connect device also is compact, making it easy to keep in my bedside table or pack for travel.
Perhaps the best thing is the Health Mate app. I have an iPhone and 2 iPads. I have installed some other brands of health monitor apps, but none of those apps provides cross-device syncing. For example, if I enter a blood glucose reading on one device, it does not display on the others. Sounds like a small thing, but it ruins the very convenience and portability I want from this Bluetooth and Wi-Fi world. The Health Mate app solves this problem. It syncs data with the BPM Connect device via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so I can track my data history on any of my Apple devices. In addition, my physicians can download the data for their records. This works not only for the BPM Connect, but also for Withings’ other types of monitors, making it easy to track several aspects of one's health in one place. I have attached some photos from Withings’ website that shows typical readouts for someone using several types of Withings monitors.

The Withings BPM Connect, Wi-Fi Smart Blood Pressure Monitor is a convenient and user friendly device for home monitoring of blood pressure and heart-rate. The BPM automatically uploads those measurements to the free Health Mate app, which is available for both Android and Apple iOS as well as being accessible with a web browser.
Uploading of BP data from the BPM Connect digital sphygmomanometer uses either Blue Tooth or Wi-Fi. Bluetooth is needed for initial setup, thereafter Wi-Fi may be utilized for all data transfer. The BPM Connect stores up to 8 sets of BP measurements (or 6 sets of measurements, depending on which version of the User Manual you consult) The automatic transfer of BP data to Withings cloud storage occurs immediately. Withings provides unlimited BP data storage in their cloud.
BP readings are immediately displayed on the BP Connects LED display, as well as immediately and automatically synching with the app. The electronics/electromechanical module of the BPM is compact and lightweight, and is permanently attached to the blood pressure cuff. Overall, the BPM outwardly appears to be nicely made and constructed of good quality materials. An advantage of the BPM Connect is that it is completely self-contained; the cuff is not tethered by an air hose to a base unit. The compact size and absence of a separate base unit is what makes this device particularly well-suited for travel, as well as using in any comfortable location in the home. It would be nice if the package included a small case or pouch in which to store and transport the BPM Connect.
In addition to taking single BP measurements, the BPM Connect has an Advanced Mode that takes three (3) sequential measurements (at user selectable 30, 60, 90 or 120 second intervals), and presents a single result as the Average of the three measurements.
The Health Mate app is a robust Health Tracking app which can store and display data from certain other fitness and health related devices as well as the BPM. It provides a dashboard for up to eight users per account, and analytic capabilities including graphic display of aggregated data over time. When multiple users of a family are sharing a Health Mate account, if an error is made when associating the data to a user, it does not appear that there is any means to re-associate that reading to the correct user. The ability to move records to the correct user would be welcome. Only iOS users can share data with a physician. The app runs in the background on smartphones, and resultantly, may potentially reduce the phone’s battery life. Collected data is also available on the web browser version of Health Mate. All of your data is downloadable on demand from the website and is provided via an email from Withings in a zip file. Individual data records may be appended with user comments. It is a good practice to obtain those files from the website on a regular basis, to ensure that you always have a complete copy of your data preserved, and in your own custody.
The classifications of blood pressure levels provided by the web browser version of Health Mate are based on the European Society of Cardiology management of arterial hypertension, and 2013 Guidelines of the European Society of Hypertension, not the new, revised, American Heart Association guidelines which have lower thresholds for each stage of elevated blood pressure or hypertension. Fortunately, the classifications of blood pressure levels provided by the smartphone app (Android) are based on the new, American Heart Association guidelines (2017). Thus, you should use the guidance provided by the phone app, rather than the web browser. Additionally, both the AHA and ESC guidelines are printed in the BPM Connect User Guide (pp. 21 & 22).
There is a discrepancy between the printed User Guide and the Withings website regarding battery life for the internal, rechargeable battery. The Manual claims up to 2 months of use, while the Website claims up to 6 months on a single charge. The 5v, 1 amp battery is charged with the included USB charging cable. It is rather surprising to see micro-USB in 2019, given the proliferation and popularity of USB-C connectors on new devices. That estimate of battery life appears to be optimistic. The male micro-USB plug does not seat fully, or snugly in the USB jack on the device.
Data security and privacy for personal identifying information as well as BP records is only addressed by a limited Privacy Policy Statement. Data is purportedly stored on European Union based servers, although there is a disclaimer that servers may be located anywhere internationally.
Clinical accuracy of digital sphygs has been the subject of several scientific/medical studies, and has been reported in the medical literature. There is some disparity and disagreement among the data and conclusions of the studies with some reporting that digital devices were found to be accurate, while others reported that they generally failed to meet accuracy standards. However, the sphygs that are generally best suited for unassisted blood pressure measurements are the digital devices such as the BPM Connect. Both mercury and aneroid sphygs utilize auscultation; that is, the Korotkoff sounds produced by the compression of the artery with the inflated and subsequently deflated cuff bladder are heard with a stethoscope to accurately determine systolic and diastolic pressures. Digital sphygs utilize the oscillometric method wherein an electronic sensor detects vibrations (oscillations) in the artery, and proprietary algorithms are employed to estimate systolic and diastolic pressures from the differences in measured pulse pressures. The accuracy debate remains unsettled. The accepted threshold for device accuracy is +/- 5mm Hg, or less, as established by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation guidelines (AAMI, 2008). Many manufacturers specify that the maximum error of measurement at pressure should not exceed +/- 3mm Hg. The Withings BPM Connect Manual claims accuracy of +/-3mm Hg. There are neither calibration nor validation procedures included in the Withings instruction documents. I have not yet validated the accuracy of the BPM Connect with a known accurate reference-standard sphyg.
Withings is based in France, and all standards referenced in their material are European standards. The product is designed in France and manufactured in China.
The adjustable cuff on the BPM is claimed to fit arms ranging from 9” to 17”, which accommodates a large segment of the adult population because it encompasses three (3) BP cuff sizes, Small Adult, Adult and Large Adult. The instructions direct the user to use the BPM on only their left arm. There are often deviations between left and right arm blood pressure measurements, and medical practitioners will frequently take multiple measurements on both arms for diagnostic purposes (particularly during an initial consultation), as a large deviation (10mm Hg, or more) may be clinically important and could be indicative of arterial occlusion or other conditions. Generally, the arm which produces the higher BP readings is typically used for ongoing diagnostic purposes thereafter. It would be preferable if the BPM could be used bilaterally. The left arm only restriction also dictates that this sphyg is contraindicated for patients who should not have blood pressure cuffs or other tourniquets applied to the left arm. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to patient with lymphedema in the left arm or injury to that limb.
The printed Instruction Manual which accompanied the BPM states that the Product Life is Three (3) Years. It begs the question of why the useful life of the BPM is limited to three years? Three years seems awfully brief for life expectancy of a sphyg or for any electronic device. Withings Customer Service confirmed the relatively short 3 year life span, and only provided the very general (and obvious) explanation that the life-span depends on usage. The Warranty for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship is 2 years (but does not warrant that the device will be error-free, i.e. accuracy). It is disappointing that the life-span of the BPM Connect may only be 3 years.
Familiarization with the BPM Connect requires just a few minutes. The Withings website is replete with information, instructions, guidance and support information. Once the app has been installed on the smartphone, your Withings account has been created and the BPM Connect has been paired with the smartphone via Bluetooth and attached to your Wi-Fi network (which is optional), you are ready to start taking blood pressure measurements.
The most apparent advantages of the BPM Connect include the very compact profile, which also affords great portability and ease of use. Additionally, the automated uploading of data from the BPM Connect to the cloud where it may be accessed with the Health Mate smartphone app or web browser interface is extremely convenient. Users of other smart technology health maintenance devices (i.e. scales, thermometers, etc.) will appreciate the good data integration capabilities of the Health Mate app, as well.

I've been using the Withings BPM Connect for a few weeks now, and it's been a game changer. It's super easy to use with just one button, and I love how it syncs automatically to my phone via Wi-Fi. The readings are accurate and consistent, and the app makes it simple to track trends. Only downside—wish it had USB-C instead of micro USB. Still, highly recommended for anyone serious about monitoring their heart health at home!

The Withings BPM connect is a nice, portable blood pressure monitor that has connected features making it easy to record and track your blood pressure / heart rate. Setup was simple and easy, interfacing with your phone over bluetooth initially but utilizes wifi to upload data to the Withings Health Mate app. The device has a clean modern design with a discrete LED display and single button operation. One click to turn on, another to start a measurement, and finally one last click to assign the measurement to a user. Tracking is simple as well thanks to the Health Mate app which can also sync the data to Apple health if you are an iOS user. The device provides color coded feedback indicated if the measurement is normal, elevated, or high blood pressure. The Health Mate app can provide further details about the classification and easy to view trend data. The BPM connect features an internal battery that charges via micro USB, though it would have been nice if it were USB C it can provide up to 6 months of usage on a single charge. I have used the Connect for about a dozen readings over the past two weeks and the app still reports a full charge, so the 6 months claim is definetly plausible. My only negative comment about the device is my wife claims it caused her discomfort, seeming to get tighter than she expected. Though I do feel it gets tight compared to a wrist BPM, I have not experiencing any discomfort and I use the Connect daily. I recommend the BPM connect for anyone who is concerned with their health and wish to have an accurate, convenient method of tracking their blood pressure.

I am giving Withings BPM Connect a well-deserved 5 stars because of its reading accuracy and ease of use. I am tempted to say that BPM Connect is the first blood pressure medical device I really tust. I took multiple readings in a row without changing my seating position, and the results came back with minor changes. I never had that before with other blood pressure taking devices.
To make full use of its capabilities you need to download the "Withings Health Mate" app from the Apple Store (for iPhone devices) or simply get it the app from go.withings.com. Give yourself about 20 minutes for your initial setup of the device as most likely a software update will download on your blood pressure device in addition to Bluetooth pairing with your smartphone and wifi setup (if so desired). The app will prompt you to set up a Health Mate account.
If you would like to use your device for multiple users (for example, all your family members; I did so) it takes a bit extra work. You can group them under your Health Mate account (meaning that all users can access the other users' data) or create separate Health Mate accounts if you want to keep each user's data private. To add additional users, in your Heathmate app, select "Profile", scroll down to "Family", touch the "Add" button, and complete the new user's profile information (such as birthday, weight, and height).
Taking a measurement is easy as pie:
- Unroll cuff and place your arm inside it
- Push the button to start BPM Connect
- When "BP" shows on the screen, push the button again
to start the measurement
(Note: "BP" is which is one read, but you can also
select triple measurement ("BP x3") with a long
press on the button. In the smart phone app you
would select how much time there is between readings,
for example, 30 seconds)
- Push the button of BPM Connect to launch the measurement
- At the end of the measurement, the reading results are
displayed on the screen. Press the button to validate the
measurement.
(Note: If you have multiple folks using the same device
you need to select the person who took the read:
- At the end of the measurement, results are displayed
on the screen of BPM Connect. As usual, you would press
the button to validate the measurement.
- But, press the button again and hold it until the name
of your family member appears on the screen, or "GUEST"
for anonymous readings.)

As a cancer patient, and an EMT, this device is relatively lightweight and so easy to put on. I have compared the blood pressure measurements with a $31,000, high end medical-grade Lifepack 15 as well as other cheap automated BP cuffs and found this to be just as accurate, if not right on the money every single time.
The added benefit of having this connect and transmit each reading over Wifi is just mind blowing. All my doctors and home-health Nurses can see my information whenever they need to. It makes treatment so much easier and faster. If Wifi isn’t available, it will transmit the data over Bluetooth to your smart phone, tablet or software on your computer (if you have Bluetooth built in). It’s easy to rad, easy to use and you can even leave it on for hours at a time if needed as it’s that comfortable.

This version is different grime the predecessor in that the cuff is soft and that stores significantly more compact. It also doesn’t require the app to run while measuring anymore as it communicates via WiFi and displays the results one the body.
All those improvements made it a worthy albeit expensive upgrade for me. A separate case is as expensive as it’s necessary. Unfortunately Withings didn’t include one.

In my last doctor visit my blood pressure measured high and my doctor asked me to keep records for two weeks. I bought this for that task. It works great. It only takes a couple of minutes to take a reading and it even has an option to do three at a time. Put on the cuff, press the button to turn on, press the button again to take a measurement. Measurements upload automatically and show up in the app immediately afterward. So far I haven’t had to charge the battery since I started using it.
My readings have been consistent. I don’t have anything to compare them to, I haven’t set down next to a trained nurse to compare them. As far as I know they are accurate.
The app gives you more than just blood pressure readings. It also hooks up to Apple Health and grabs results from there. The health insights are interesting and tell me what I already knew, that my fitness level is not good. It is in encouraging enough to make me want to do more.

My wife and I love this cuff, for as much as anyone could love a medical device.
This is our fourth cuff, and we finally have found a cuff/brand that is reasonably accurate.
The material is soft, comfortable, and easier to put on than most other cuffs. It accommodates my arms (I'm a big and tall guy), along with my wife's smaller arms.
I really like the fact that you simply charge it rather than having to mess with batteries.
Its compact design lends itself well for portability, should you need it.
Only thing I wish were a little different is the one-button-does-all feature; makes the UI a little tricky to get use to, especially if you have multiple users uploading results to their smartphones.
Overall I'm pleased with this product.

I tried this product alongside the Omron Evolve. They both gave consistent measurements very close to one another and I never got a failed attempt from either over 100 different trials. I chose to keep the Withings because of its design - extremely compact and easy to travel with. It also sends readings to the iPhone app immediately. The Omron requires you to open the app and transfer data that is stored - not difficult, but not as easy as Withings. I also like the rechargeable battery - took over 100 readings and still had 25%.

I've tried other BP monitors but this is the first one that was truly easy to set up and use. Their app is straightforward and it integrates with Apple's HealthKit. I prefer WiFi connections to Bluetooth, and the Bluetooth monitors I've tried (e.g. iHealth) were flaky and either failed to connect entirely or dropped their connections frequently. I also have a Withings scale, so getting BP and weight/BMI and similar stats in the same app, and integrated with Apple HealthKit, makes the price of entry well worth it. The device is small and one-piece so you don't have to stow a long cord. You can also see your readings right on the device; it's not necessary to launch the app each time you use it. The app sits on my phone and diligently records the readings so I can share with my healthcare provider and I can monitor trends.

I’ve owned this for about a month now. Works great every single time links up to my app really good. Seems pretty accurate. Battery life is great I’ve only pluged it in once and that was to see the battery life after about 3 weeks of daily use and it was still reading 100%. The only thing that I wish was different is the charging port. It would be so much easier if it used USB-C. I also like the portability of the blood pressure cuff it is small enough to travel with. I purchased the travel case for it as well.

Although much different than Withings initial blood pressure cuff, this cuff is easy to use and doesn’t require having your phone in front of you. It’s also much more compact. In the few weeks that I’ve been using it, it seems to be fairly accurate. Additionally, more than one person can use it, and the results will flow from the cuff to each phone as appropriate. if you need to keep careful track of your blood pressure, this product might be for you!

Great up grade! Rechargeable battery, smaller in size, more traditional way to secure cuff on arm. Much easier to use. Love the fact you no longer need to use the app to take your BP. It can be done on the device itself! Also you can see the results immediately on the device. History is recorded and tracked in your online account as well as in the app. For those having a hard time putting it on your arm, just hold your arm straight up over your head. It will then just slide down your arm then you position it and fasten it. Then just push the button to take a reading. Easy! It also RE bears your last setting.
