Great movie I love it my all time favorite anime..

What a beatiful story, a young woman falls in love with a young man whom has the extraordinary gift of turning into a wolf, they have children whom also receive this gift, but are unable to control it, sadly and tragically the father dies. Now this young mother of two extraordinary children has to do anything and everything she can do to raise them, help them learn how to control their abilities, and most importantly protect them from humans that probably would never understand. Any anime lover would and should own this magically beautiful work of art in their collection, very happy with purchase and highly recommend.

I'll start off by saying I like anime and that particular art style however I generally stick to watching a series. Aside from Miyazaki's works, Akira, and spinoff movies my exposure is limited. This is one of the few movies I've seen without any prior knowledge and I was pleasantly surprised. It's really all about the challenges of being a single parent and rolling with the punches life throws you. You don't get an instruction manual, the books you can pick up only get you so far, and there isn't an indicator telling you whether or not you're doing the right thing. I really did enjoy this movie and while it may not be for everyone, admittedly, I recommend checking it out.

Story line was a bit sad but the artistry is well made and heartfelt.

One of the best Anime movies to come out in the last 5 years. From a studio well known for their stories (Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Boy and the Beast, Etc) this one will have you feeling the emotions of the main characters from start to finish. Great for lovers of emotional, slice of life anime as well as action. Voice acting is fantastic as always (Japanese uncut)

A movie that understands itself in many ways. The cinematography is unparalleled and shows how powerful camera movements can be both for a 2d format movie, but with 3d animation sprinkled in so well you practically miss it the entire time watching the movie. The content is dark and a hair bit mature as it deals with death and growing up (in a not so "Disney" way). Yet for those able to watch it I hope it reminds you of what's important in your life.

This was an extraordinary movie, definitely can compete with movies by studio Ghibli and holds its own. There is no violence, no nudity, and no foul language. The movie explores the live of a family over the span of 16 years. The family has lost their father/husband figure, who is by all means not your average person, he is more so much more. Over the next sixteen years the family relocates, and the rest of the movie deals with choices and consequences, adapting to changes, growing up, and learning to value the important things in life. A worthy addition to your dvd or blue ray collection, and the soundtrack is simply awesome.
