This is a great movie, just another one to add to the marvel collection.

Great movie and quality from the blue ray. I highly recommend the purchase.

Movies like "The Wolverine" show that a sequel CAN BE better than the 1st movie, however it doesn't place a check in all of the "complete movie" boxes. The checks that are present are for 3D Imagery / Mastering (Excellent), Sound (Immersive), and Character Acting / Casting ("Bulls-Eye"). In fact, this movie fills you tank with action, dialog and even some "romance" thrown in for good measure. The main "empty box" is for PLOT. The plot is is easily followed at times, but can become convoluted in the visual translation (i.e. the funeral scene), or even worse, incomplete purpose / reason for actions that are taking place (i.e. why kidnap and not kill a certain character). After watching an old STAR TREK movie, it became evident that where TREK fully expounds on what is happening visually and through character dialog (i.e. why the temporal disturbance does not effect us), this was where THE WOLVERINE failed to deliver. IF you can overcome this particular mishap, I believe THE WOLVERINE is the movie you expected to see IF you saw ORIGINS.

All the features make this blu-ray worth it for any fan of the movie.

Good quality DVD and lots of action. Would recommend and watch again

So I got this one along with Logan at a good price-match. Had to get the 3D version because it is the only Blu-Ray version that has the "Extended" version. That said, this movie has a MUCH better story than Logan. I think most folks' issue with it is that it was too"ethnic" with the Japanese culture tied to it. I don't know if it was me but this movie echoed The Last Samurai (with key Japanese actors from that movie in this one.) I loved the photography in this one with the high contrasts and vivid colors. It was great to see culture mixed in with some comic book adventure. Worth the buy especially now that it has been out for awhile. This Wolverine movie first then Logan. My order of like.

As a big fan of Wolverine and the X-Men - both in films and comic books - I was incredibly disappointed by the previous Wolverine flick, "X-Men Origins - Wolverine." "The Wolverine" is a marked improvement upon the penultimate installment, with great action, good pacing, and Jackman owning the role of Logan. As a companion piece to the first run of X-Men films, it really succeeds, highlighting Logan's brooding conflict over his role in the death of Jean Grey. When you break it down, it's also a pretty decent Samurai/Yakuza film. That said, the movie really ran out of gas at the end. The tight coherence of the first 3/4ths of "The Wolverine" is thrown out the window in it's final moments, choosing instead to go the route of mindless, hack and slash silliness. I still enjoyed it, though, and if you're looking for a good action movie to kill a couple of hours, you could do a lot worse.
