This is a gray Wolverine movie compared to the Origins movie released a few years back. The acting is the same as usual but the story and characters are exciting, I really enjoyed the movie and was thrilled with the Special Edition packaging and extras. I bought two of these and gave one away for the holidays to another fan of comics who also appreciated the packaging and artwork included.

I really enjoy Hugh Jackman's portrayal of Logan/a.k.a. Wolverine. It is also great to see another fine Marvel 3D film to add to my collection. Hugh has this role down pat, and in this film we learn a lot more about Wolverine. There is lots of action in this film that takes Wolverine to different locales. I highly recommend this film to Wolverine and Hugh Jackman fans!

Great action movie for x-men & wolverine fans. Much juicier than origins before it. Logan gets invited to Japan to say goodbye to an old friend, then spends most of the movie killing Japanese yakuza & ninjas. Has some decent character development with a nice X-men bonus as the last scene in the movie. Good value overall, you get 3 copies of movie on DVD, bluray & digital download.

After the hiccups of X-Men: The Last Stand and the complete misfire of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, James Mangold's The Wolverine strips down the excesses and tells a mostly-focused story (hampered only by some technological absurdity in the film's last act) peppered with some lively action sequences and a fine cast of supporting characters, chiefly Rila Fukushima as candy-haired Yukio.

Jackman may have instantly embodied Wolverine when he first stepped into Bryan Singer’s cage fight in 2001, but he’s grown into the role – carrying around a rough hemp sack of weariness, regret, determination and anger with each twitch of his scowl or line around his eyes. Nobody will ever come close to this wolverine in cinema history.

If there was a movie that matches up pretty well with the original comics, this is it. For all the people who shied Away from this after the horrible origins movie, it's so much better. Logan's world view after killing jean in last stand plays a massive part and adds a big part to the mythos. And the ending leads into days of future past very well. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed this movie, but I have heard mixed reviews about it. There is not as much action in it as you might expect. I felt there was a fair share of Wolverine slicing people apart, but others have wanted more slicing and less story-telling. I thought it was a really enjoyable story, and it introduces some interesting ideas for the X-men universe moving forward.

I bought this copy primarily for the 3D disc. It's not only a great movie with outstanding action scenes, but also reveals an introspective side to Logan as he deals with his life experiences to date. The movie is really fun to watch in 3D on a 65 inch screen. Next to Logan this is the best Wolverine story released so far.

I remember watching this movie in the theater and really enjoyed the movie at the time. Best Buy put the movie on sale recently for $5 so I decided to buy it even though it had been out for many years. I do I have to say that I enjoyed the movie just as much as I did the first time. The movie does a great job of keeping you interested the whole time.

This set has it all. Bluray, 3D, DVD, digital copy. What more can you want? 4K maybe but they haven't got all that sorted out yet. Great movie. Come on. Wolverine, ninjas, samurai, violence and gore. Typical day in the life of the wolverine. Spoiler alert!!! He sticks his hand in to his own guts and grabs his heart...only wolverine. 3 thumbs up.

So much yes with Hugh Jackman shirtless! It's a decent story and has excellent action sequences. I really like that they are investigating a side of Wolverine that we don't see often in the other blockbuster films. It's a unique setting which comes directly from the comic book story lines. I'm all about anything Marvel and this movie sure does the trick!

I find this movie to be the most thought provoking of wolverine's stories. Why do mortals strive to be immortal? What drives an immortal man with a tragic background? Purpose? Righteousness? And who defines both? Wolverine is mankind's rage incarnate... he embodies the nature of man ... all of our flaws, and yet, he persists. It's a great movie. Highly recommended.

Great movie for those of us who haven't read the twisting original comic books for the wolverine story line. Saw it in the theater and just knew it was going to be part of my DVD collection. **********SPOILER ALERT************** Great idea to start movie several months (18 months or so based off dialogue) after the end of the 3rd movie. Great fight scene with the bullet train and making Logan 'human'.

The X-Men movies have varied in quality over the years. This movie surprised me in a good way. Hugh Jackman clearly committed himself to the role. I also like how it was set in Japan, with Japanese actors playing Japanese characters actually speaking Japanese. This isn't as good as Logan, but is still a must watch beforehand.

After the dismal Origins movie, nobody expected this movie to deliver but they got it right this time. Great story telling, good character development and awesome action sequences make this movie really stand apart from the rest. I'd put an extra recommendation for this edition since it has the extended version, which is way better than the regular version.

A strong, enjoyable adaptation inspired by the Chris Claremont/Frank Miller Wolverine limited series, but very different from the source material. If you want a Wolverine movie, skip Origins and start here. Supporting cast is quite good. Some unexpected flashbacks are a bit jarring for me, but overall one of the better non-Marvel Studios Marvel movies.

I wasn't excited to hear Wolverine would be headed to Japan, I didn't understand why that would be a direction to take his story, but My opinion quickly changed as the movie started and ended. Overall great story with some gimmicks but not enough to ruin the story. Highly recommend to Xmen fans and to those who enjoy superhero action films!

I'm not familiar with the graphic novel this is based on, but I'd love to go read that after seeing how well done this adaptation is. Wolverine is tasked with saying goodbye to an old friend in Japan before he's wrapped up in a lot of BS as he loses his healing factor and tries to survive this coordinated attack in Japan.

I love this movie. If u want a bloody wolverine movie this is the one becuase of the unrated cut. Logan is still way gorier but this is the second best. Logan is number one door sure. This is a must buy for any wolverine fan. Especially since this is the one that comes with the unrated cut. The unrated cut is the Blu-ray. Not 3d so that was good.
