This purchase was a very good deal for $10 - it has the theatrical version of The Wolverine in 3D blu-ray which looked great, the uncut extended version in 2D which I just saw for the first time and it is much more intense than the PG-13 theatrical release, plus a digital copy. It also included a $7.00 coupon for a movie ticket to watch 'Logan'!

A lot people say they grew tired of the character. Overplayed, too old, etc. This movie reminded everybody why the character was bad to the adamantium bone. Why Hugh was amazing as the character. And why the Xmen are nothing without Logan. I can't wait for the followup coming this spring. Hugh and Patrick's versions of the characters will be missed.

Great Spin-off from X-Men Last Stand

Good movie, great special effects. The Wolverine is not a sequel to X-Men Origins Wolverine, but more of a spin-off form Xmen last stand. If you know anything about Wolverine and him in Japan form Comic Books, you can be slightly disappointed, as they do not go too much in detail. This was a great bridge into the Days Of Futures Past movie and also maybe to another Wolverine movie.

Enjoyed the most of the movie but then it became more like 'robocop'-like at the end; spoiling the legacy of mutant wolverine and what he is capable of doing... Why mix a gigantic Samurai robot/cyborg at the end...it got me off and wanted to turn off the movie at that point. Not much more to see and enjoy.

I first bought this on just the blu-ray combo, seeing as this was the first X-Men movie that had an extended edition. There is not much a difference, but I sincerely liked this movie so I wanted to be sure I owned it. If you really like Hugh Jackman and you want just a little extra gore and an additional f-bomb, this combo is for you.

The "Unleashed" cut is, for my money, the only real version of the movie, and the only way to get it is in this set. Fortunately, the price has dropped quite a bit, and will sometimes come with movie money for Logan (the even better James Mangold / Hugh Jackman Wolverine movie), so think of it as a two-fer.

    Good Movie For XMen Fans

I am a huge fan of X-Men. I believe this movie has done what others have tried to accomplish with little success. The universe of Marvel can tell many stories and can hold themselves up as successful indpendent movies separate from the core series. The movie follows wolverine set after the events of the original trilolgy. I enjoyed it a lot.

"The Wolverine," takes an entirely different approach to the eponymous character. Audiences get to see the Adamantium and claws stripped away in a more emotionally driven film. Wolverine is facing an existential crisis. Get the 3d version as it has the extended cut and you're an X-men fan. It is a movie that one should own. It's good.

A lot of people didn't like this movie, but I thought it was OK. You can't really complain about the disc transfer or this set. It is nicely done and comes with either iTunes digital copy or Ultraviolet for those of you who want to deal with the mess that is Ultraviolet. Overall, if you like the movie, this is a good set.

    Much Better Than Wolverine: Origins

This film is a massive step up from Wolverine: Origins. The change in setting by shifting the film to Japan makes for one of the more interesting films in the X-Men franchise. Although the film does not approach the level of quality seen in Logan, The Wolverine is a solid movie in it's own right.

I bought this Blu-ray with the hopes of using the movie certificate to see Logan. WARNING! If the certificate is on the shiny slip cover the code sticks to the box and is unreadable. Best Buy was awesome and let me exchange for the 3d copy that had the ticket on the plastic wrap and all was well. That being said, cool movie.

Lured to a Japan he hasn't seen since World War II, century-old mutant Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) finds himself in a shadowy realm of yakuza and samurai. Wolverine is pushed to his physical and emotional brink when he is forced to go on the run with a powerful industrialist's daughter

You Jackman does it again and nails the Wolverine character possibly better than ever before period really enjoyable laxman movie which takes a deep dive into the Wolverine character, however it's a much better movie than Wolverine origins. Would highly suggest for anyone who enjoys xmen, mutant, superhero movies.

This is a different kind of super hero movie. Not nearly as over the top as movies like the avengers. That isn't really a bad thing though. I think that it makes wolverine a bit more relatable than all the god-like heroes. I have not watched the 3d version yet but the regular bluray does look better than the average bluray.

The movie was great. Different storyline not found in the comics. [SPOILER ALERT - The only scene I was disappointed with is the one on top of the bullet train. So incredibly impossible.] I love Marvel but love Wolverine even more. I just think Marvel and Disney is going to run the character thru the ground. Unfortunately.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed this movie but it could have been more. I know they were going in a different direction with this movie but the main villian was rather boring. She played a big role in the storyline but it just didn't excite like other superhero movies. The secondary villian was all too predictable.

Who doesn't like Wolverine. The movie is good but it could of been great. The graphics is better but the storyline is a little weak. It some what stay true to the comic but with the Hollywood treatment without ruining the character. Worth a rent at least. Not worth paying more than $10 bucks for this movie.

The movie is wonderful. I won't spend time writing about that. If you like superheroes and their films, you'll enjoy it. The 3D blu-ray on the other hand, is kind of a let down. The 3D effects are very subtle, and there is never really any pop-out "wow" moments. But, it's still a very detailed and crisp image.

I thought this was the Origins movie (didn't look carefully at title!) but was pleasantly surprised with this. Good story line and character development. Fairly clean as far as content and language. They should do more spin-off individual story movies for the "non-main" Marvel characters.

While this movie is not as action oriented as previous X-Men movies, Wolverine still manages to entertain. Since most of the movie centers in Japan, this movie has a different cultural feel to it. Still, there are some interesting characters along the way and this movie will keep your interest until the end.
