Ultimate Almodovar Comedy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Vivid, sensual and very funny, Almodovar seemingly lost interest in comedy shortly after this, but for this I am so gratedul. It bears his signature unmistakeably. My only criticism: the Shiite terrorist jokes don't really work anymore, in the US (or in Spain, for that matter). But apart from that this is unmitigated comedy genius. Of course the film is helped by strong acting throughout. Literally it never skips one beat. If you haven't seen it, you really must. Required. If you have a pulse you'll love it.
