Reference Picture Quality & Audio: WW84 4K Shines!

People need to start reviewing the actual product, not the film itself. The picture quality is absolutely superb. The HDR10+ and Dolby Vision are both incredible to look at. Considering the film has a general colorful palette, it allows the film to showcase the 4K resolution and high dynamic range option of your choice. Dolby Atmos audio is pretty fleshed out and a great experience, although I wish it showcased a bit more of the Atmos touch. Overall, I’d say this is a pretty reference quality disc. I watched this on a 65 inch OLED with a 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos system. For those curious: As for the film itself, it’s not as good as the first. But it’s still a fun ride. Good character development. Wish it had a bit more action. But overall it’s an enjoyable experience. Still very true to the character and Gal Gadot is still incredible as Wonder Woman. I appreciate Patty Jenkin’s use of 35 mm film, which really makes the film a better experience overall.

Movie review - loved it. 80s theme was fun. Great cast and stunts. Concept of the main villain was very unique. Liked Cheetah as well. Pic quality - Blu-ray, not 4K; at times there was white flashes on the screen (35 min mark or even sooner) during the movie. When movie arrived by mail, the disc was loose so I thought that was it. Tested it in my Samsung & Sony blu ray players. Same white flashes. Returned it to store and got another. Tested it again and had same result in both players. Not sure what it is but shocked no one picked up on that before they released it on home media.

Gorgeous Steelbook Exclusive....I absolutely loved this movie. I am a huge DC and Marvel fan. I know it received a lot of negative feedback. Not sure why? Keep in mind this is before JLA where Diana has been dealing with her identity and how lonely being Wonder Woman can be in the real world. She lost the love of her life and really didn't make peace with that. This story is more about forgiveness, it shows Diana in a normal human way. I loved the villain's I thought they were great, Cheetah was well done. The friendship between the two....is it a Oscar nominee? No. It's a superhero film lol like chill out...the visuals were great, acting, and the message in it was fantastic. It was a good little step before getting the awesome untouchable Wonder Woman we all know and love. I recommend giving it at least two watches.

How did they go from the fiercest Amazonian Warrior in the first one to this lame tamed pup in the second one? I've always been a fan of Wonder Women so we won't beat up on Gal Godot for this one considering under the circumstances she played her part well. The terrible script though is an altogether different animal. Ms. Jenkins wanted to appeal to her more feminine side but when your dealing with the most powerful Amazonian Princess ever may she should've stuck with what works best. And that is that Amazonian Princess is at heart a Warrior first.

Great movie from the 80's era and how Diana has changed with the times as well. It's not a sequel so don't expect it to be one! Different time and story line which could've been improved in a few areas. I love the lasso work she mostly does and learns how to fly ( technically, she floats on the air currents in the comics) and we get to see (or not) the invisible jet! I think the Cheetah character who I love as an adversary for Diana needed more scenes, but treated OK in this. I believe Patty Jenkins did well, but could've done better without Geoff Jones help in the story writing. It's a great movie to watch and enjoy and it has some great humor with it. Gal Gadot is the perfect Wonder Woman for our time. Watch it for a great cameo, too.

Not quite as amazing as the first one, but still a top 3 for the DC franchise. I still have not seen the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League, so this review and where this movie lands in my list is based off of that. A bit of a love story this time around, and of course 2 bad guys who we can relate to. One who just wants to be noticed by others, and another who sees material things as a sign of wealth. Obviously, at some point everyone learns a lesson the hard way. Still a better movie than Twilight. Which I've never seen.

Although I liked the movie..I though it was a little drawn out..It was nice to see the return of Steve Rogers and to see the the love story but I was looking for an action movie not a love story. I bought this DVD because I am growing my comic book movie collection and having Wonder Woman:1984 updated my DC comic book movies collection. I still enjoyed the movie and that is why I'm giving it a 4 star instead of a 5 star. plus the bonus is being able to add it to my digital library. I do recommend see and purchasing this dvd

Enjoyable film that is good, but not great. Lots of good battle scenes, but like many sequels, it does not measure up to the original Wonder Woman movie. The 4K picture is solid, but has a slight grainy look that can be a bit distracting at times. Still, the colors pop out pretty good for a natural film-like presentation. The Dolby Atmos sound is good, but slightly toned down. It is not excessively loud like other action movies, so it is at a comfortable level.

    Wondering About Pine

Gal Gadot and Kristin Wiig looked fantastic and delivered great performances in this movie. But, OMG, what has happened to Chris Pine? He looked so old, his turkey skin neck indicates way too much time in the sun without proper sunscreen, and his performance was practically non-existent. Hopefully, in the future, they will leave his character in the past and let Diana/Wonder Woman move on. Otherwise, this was a decent film, not really as good as the first one, but one I will watch a few more times.

This is a fantastic movie! It is purposely very different in tone from its predecessor. Whereas the first was set during the dark days of World War I, this movie is set in the bright neon colors of the 1980s. Diana's standard Amazon weaponry of war (her sword and shield) are absent this time around. This suits the fact that she does not face an army of soldiers like before, but an unscrupulous businessman and a desirous, jealous co-worker of sorts. Desires (wishes) and their unintentional consequences play a big part in this story. It sees the miraculous return of a long-lost love for Diana, but the price to pay is high. And for an added treat, a guest appearance by a well-known figure from our past is included in a mid-credits scene!

I didn't love this one as much as the first, which is one of my all-time favorite superhero movies, but this is a great throwback flick nonetheless, imo. Some definite shades of the old Christopher Reeve Superman movies (AND the Lynda Carter WW show), plus a few trope-y 80's nods. Gadot and Pine are charming together as ever, Kristen Wiig was great, it had a great message, and the music by Hans Zimmer was absolutely glorious. The bonus features are fun and the steelbook is gorgeous.

This sequel took a beating from reviews and critics of the DC heroine. Gal Gadot reprises her role as Wonder Woman in 1984 and comes into contact with a foe that possesses a stone to grant any wish. The script itself really was not that good, but Gal did a good job as WW. The Cheetah really didn't bother me, but the flying at the end where WW is sleeking through the sky with no visible means to propel herself was just too much. I guess the invisible plane idea went a bit too far. lol In fact, while we are talking planes, how is it that somehow you can get into a plane in a museum and just fire it up and it will fly you to anywhere you want? Museum planes are not fly ready, I don't care how good it looks on the outside. WW finds out that she can "wish" Steve Trevor back to life, but in another man's body. She doesn't want to let him go, knowing his body is not there, but in mind only. lol Forget the actual man that is taken over, right Diana? lol All is set right in the end with WW and the World eventually, but Steve cannot stay in the reality of 1984. WW finds comfort in the clouds at the end and then low and behold, we get a cameo from the original WW herself, Lynda Carter post credit scene. Action scenes were decent, but script was lackluster.

I love the character of Wonder Woman. That means I love the character even when she’s in a mediocre movie. I simply can’t write off an entire movie much like a lot of people have done with WW84 because Gal Gadot and much of the cast act great in it. I see Patty Jenkins as taking the direction resembling more of the 70s TV series with Lynda Carter. It shows that Wonder Woman can be and has been many more things than a fierce warrior with a sword and shield. As for the presentation of this particular Steelbook, I think it’s a very trippy design that blends the golden armor. It’s unique if not traditionally Wonder Woman’s look. I still look forward to seeing this franchise grow and improve.

As far as the films video quality goes the UHD version of WW1984 is excellent. The story is somewhat disappointing compared to the first film. Overall, its still fantastic to see WW on the screen again in her own story vs a sidekick in the previous DC team-up movies over the past several years. Film / Movie Quality 5 Stars Story 3 Stars Overall 4 Stars The MoviesAnywhere digital redemption is a huge plus for those who enjoy streaming UHD quality video.

Yet another Great DC movie. The SteelBook was Great! The only problem was when I went in the afternoon on the day of release. I couldn't find it. There was no place for it on the new release rack. I asked a sales person if they had it and he check the rack. went back to him and he had to get it from the back. There was no place to show it on the new release rack, but there was lots of room where they display the rest of the DVDs in the DVD's section.

This disk looks good, the steelbook is nice... neither is remarkable though. The movie was not nearly as good as the first DCEU Wonder Woman movie although Gadot still brings it as best she can. In fact, the actors do what they can but the plot and writjng is bad, the effects are just ok and what a waste of a character... K. Wiig didn't even need to be in the movie at all. 4 stars is ok only because the steelbook and transfer was fine.

I good movie if you are a Wonder Woman fan. The story could have fleshed out both the main antagonists a bit more. Also, some other areas of the background story could have been a bit more developed. It's still a good movie, but could have been just a bit better. Maybe I'm being a bit nit-picky, because the first Wonder Woman movie in this franchise was such a surprise.
