    New Term: "Stop Motion Animation"

I had high hopes for this movie I love a series of animated flicks coming from Sony this however Falls far short! As with a lot of Animation today Corners are cut and poor animation is touted as something to watch. I grew up in the age of Jonny Quest and realistic great animation. The beginning animation sequence looks so fluid and realistic I love it then we got in to the recent animation... all I can say is that I started to notice that they were stretching all characters on the screen would freeze like playing Red Light Green Light and then when one moved another one might move several long pauses in the animation should became a sort of herky-jerky movement bereft of any real flow. The story was excellent the sound boo my speakers away the colors were vibrant but I could not tear myself away from noticing the herky-jerky! The voice actors also did an excellent job with what they were given it's just the production that failed them... hence my new term "stop motion animation" combines the non fluid movement of clay puppets from the past with animation nowadays to save a buck! WB has produced better. (Sony Animation has knocked it's Animated titles out of the park.) NOT this title. I won't be watching this again...without severe stop-motion sickness!! I do love animated titles, but this WB selection not so much!

The 14th film in the DCAMU and the 36th Animated DC feature overall. I enjoyed the feature but of course I am a DC fan too. There's only so much detail you can get from Animation. The higher bit rate does cut down on some banding and macroblocking. But, the real winner here is the HDR. Colors do stand out a bit more due to the wider color gamut and shadow detail is a bit more refined. It's the best the film can look and fir a few dollars more I would recommend it.

I've seen every single one of these DC Animated movies since the very first one (Superman / Doomsday) and they all exhibit the same strengths and weaknesses. They are all good comic book stories brought to life through music, animation and vocal delivery - and on that front they are good enough. No other stable of superhero characters have been able to continue output as consistently or as long as DC has. Marvel started this but quickly lost interest, restarting and stopping again over the years. Hellboy has had a few animated movies come out. DC has consistently produced 2-4 every single year for the decade plus. It is - quite frankly - an impressive work in its collection and ANY comic book fan should support and enjoy this body of work. Individually, though, the movies are not as strong. The main issue is that the stories are simply too complex and involved for the budgeted runtimes of 75-85 minutes. As a result, these are heavily plot-driven stories and do not utilize effective storytelling techniques as a whole. In essence, there is simply too much being crammed in and the basic tenet of storytelling is rarely achieved well. Wonder Woman Bloodlines is no different. It is decent and enjoyable entertainment for its runtime, but doesn't seek to want to rise above that. The animation is not luxurious, but that's ok. The main issue is the lack of emotional connection one makes with the characters. If you have a connection, it's because you brought it with you - the movie didn't establish it. The characters are simply moving through the complex plot. Who has the primary problem to be solved? Is it Diana? Is it Steve Trevor? the members of Villainy, Inc (cute name...lol). Who knows? the plot should be a derivative of that problem and in fiction things are either included for 1) to solve a problem, something the audience needs to know or 2) world building to enhance context of the primary plot The issue truly seems to be the runtime, as the creators HAVE demonstrated that they can provide both elements of storytelling in other, more effective works of fiction they have produced. It seems that these DC animated films are produced on a strict budget, with a specific runtime ($/minute of film) and they try to achieve both elements of storytelling within the runtime and do neither well. There is little impetus to change at this point in the DC line...nearly 40 movies in you KNOW what you're getting. You either like it and support it or you don't. So...why the five stars? Because this movie is allowing my 7 year old self to come out and enjoy some awesome comic book action with characters I grew up with when I'm in my late forties. SImply put, it is what it is and I love it for that. If you are a comic fan, these movies will not be responsible for blazing new trails but they are traditionally animated movies (in a time when those are scarce) coming out 3-4 times a year that feature our favorite comic book characters. Simply put, let's love it for what it is rather than destroy it for what it isn't. Hence the five stars. Oh...and the short on Death is amazing. That should be seriously considered for an oscar...it's probably too long at 22 minutes but...wow. This product would almost be worth it just for that alone (it's worth it for the whole package...lol).

I have read some negative reviews for this movie. Now to be honest when it comes to these DC animated movies I am fairly easy to please. Growing up I was a fan of all superhero animated shows, so to see my favorite stories played out in animated form gives me a lot of pleasure. Now I will not say this is the best DC movie so far, it is definitely not as bad as some people made it out to be. It has an enjoyable story good characters and definitely entertaining. I only gave it four stars because the storyline was a bit simplistic but again, I am a sucker for superhero animated TV shows and movies. And if you’re anything like me I think you’ll enjoy this.

Although DC can't seem to find its footing at the box office (the latest Joker film aside), these animated films that have been coming out over the past few years have been excellent and Wonder Woman: Bloodlines is the latest in these. A warning the this is not for children or people who aren't into bloody fight scenes. But if you love DC comics, animated movies and great story lines, this movie (and its DC animated brethren) are for you. As a bonus, there are a few Batman: The Brave and the Bold cartoons on this as well. I can't wait for the next DC animated movie.

I was surprised that they did not go in a different direction or continue where the first film left off (with the bank robbery w/Cheetah). The beginning is a rehash (yet again) of how Diana and Steve's paths crossed--we all know this so no need for it. I enjoyed the action sequences and I like the new WW uniform. The story was meh--stay tuned for a post credit scene which appears to be a set up for the next animated adventure. I hope they don't wait too long in between these like they did with this offering. Seeing this made me excited for WW84 next year!

The recent DC animated movies that have been released in the last couple years are all coming together and only continues to be epic and awesome with this latest addition! Voiced by Rosario Dawson, Wonder Woman goes up against Giganta, Cheetah, and a new villain for this movie. The animation is really what I can't get enough of and the writing doesn't suck either!j

    A Lackluster Original Film

DC Comics has long been able to hang its hat on being the best in animated features and animated series, but not all their animated movies are hits. Unfortunately, I found Wonder Woman: Bloodlines to be one of those lackluster movies. The story is constantly jumping all over the place because they overflow it with too many characters, the dialogue is extremely wooden from all characters/actors involved, and there seems to be a real lack of character motivations. The biggest hampering being that it tries to re-tell Wonder Woman’s origin again that was clearly done better in the 2007 animated film and even more greatly surpassed in the 2017 live action film. This movie just felt rushed and the story wasn’t fully fleshed out to be worth telling. The animation and action are decent enough and the picture/color is great. The special features are interesting and provide some cool insights. You also get a free digital copy as well in this release.

Was a little worried how they would treat the pre-wonder woman tale when she was Diana and the adopted family that took her in. Loved how villains emerged while she was coming into her own as a superhero! Medusa was epic as well! Weak back story about her stepsister and how she became a villain.

Wonder Woman, has been a staple in the pantheon of DC comic book characters. I suspect that this will cement her place as one of the most powerful superheroes of al time. Look forward to an action packed saga. Filled with the Amazonian Queens unbridled beauty and wrath.

Fans of Wonder Woman and DC Comics should get this. It tells the story of how Wonder Woman left behind her home to become the hero we all know her to be. It features great performances from the likes of Rosario Dawson and Jeffrey Donovan. A must-buy.

A side story to show how she left her home, sort of a origins story, to how she becomes the hero we have seen in the justice league movie series. It was all enjoyable some blood here and there. Not for little ones unless accompanied

Another typically good animated movie from DC/Warner Bros. While it is not a origin story, it picks up at the beginning of the New 52 run that started several years ago. There's a lot of action and its good from the start of the movie to the end.

The movie showed how human Wonder Woman could be and that she is not perfect. I thought the story was well written and I watched it twice for the enjoyment to see how strong she really is as a hero. She is DC's top three.

Wonderful original story. Unpredictable and fun. Introduces some never before seen villains (in the DC animated universe). Mid credit scene sets up future films in series of DC decides to go in that direction.

This was a good origin story for Wonder Woman. She is still in her New 52 outfit rather than in the new outfit taken from the Gal Gadot Wonder Woman movie. Hoping they do one of her recent storylines for her next movie.
