Get this one. It's like Deliverance meets the Hills Have Eyes. So deliberately bad it's good, and Henry Rollings is a scream as the military hard*ss.

Not sure how to describe this movie. It is definitely better than part one. Scary. Grotesque but in a good way. Horror movie fans will enjoy it...unless they live in West Virginia.

The plot of the movie stunk but the gory and splatter were nicely done well.

Wrong Turn 2: Dead End by all rights should be terrible. It's a direct-to-DVD sequel of a horror film by a first time director. Virtually every word in that sentece spells failure. So it was with great surprise that I read the flood of good reviews from fans online. I'll be honest in saying I didn't like this sequel as much as the original, nor do I think I liked it as much as other people do. From a directorial standpoint, the film isn't nearly as strong, and the acting performances/characterizations are largely hit and miss. Those were the two elements that I thought made the original such a standout horror flick. However, that being said, it's clear that the director loves horror movies and has done his homework, as he throws everything at the wall to see what sticks (and usually that something is some type of gore), which makes for an undeniably fun ride, even if it's a bit of a bumpy one. I thought the horror in the film was very well done, but the comical aspects that were added in this sequel weren't as successful in my mind. I tend to find that horror/comedy only works when they're married together rather than jumping back and forth between the two-that is to say that the horror in and of itself is funny (ala Evil Dead 2 or Dead Alive). This film tends to jump and back and forth between jovial comic stupidy from the characters and shocking horror from the mountain men. Because of this, I enjoyed the film the most toward the climax of the film because the movie became more of a straight ahead horror film at that point. But overall, I much preferred the straight horror of the original to the comedy/horror of this film. My major complaint against the original Wrong Turn was its lack of originality, and that only gets worse in this film. If the original shared a passing resemblance to Texas Chainsaw Massacre, then this film all but lifts scenes straight from it. Again, these sequences are actually very well crafted, but they definitely won't win any points for originality. When all is said and done, Wrong Turn 2: Dead End is a much better film than it has any right to be. I wouldn't necessarily call it the second coming of DTV horror sequels as many are claiming, but it is a thoroughly entertaining (though flawed) film in its own right.

This movie was not as good as the first, but still good in it's own right, my wife and I liked it. The plot's a little cheesier than the first, and the make-up and acting weren't as good either. But, the film did have a bit more gore, which was nice, and of course Henry Rollins. In fact, he's the reason for me giving it 4 stars instead of 3. I'm a huge fan of his. I always jump at anything he's in, but that's me. I definitely recommend this, if you're a fan of the first one. Also, you should check out Hills Have Eyes 1 and 2, and Plague Town.

I was not expecting much out of this movie when it was announced that it was going straight to dvd. I liked the first and after watching the second I was very suprised. First off this movie is what it is, a low budget horror flick. The acting is not very good and there is plenty of gore, but this is a pretty good movie if you like the genre. The special effects are very good and there is plenty of blood, the story is good also. If you liked the first or are looking for a good scary movie this film is worth a look.

Being a fan of the original, I was leary about this Straight-to-DVD sequel, as most straight to dvd movies are stinkers. Man, was I ever shocked. This is one of the more brutal, gory, intense, and fun rides I've had in a while. I don't know how this went Straight-to-DVD and Hills Have Eyes 2 went to the theaters. This is actually one of the better horror films I've seen all year. Give it a shot, especially if you are into gore.

I to was sceptical about a sequel straight to dvd 'cause it's really not as good as the first, so I was going to rent it first and see for myself, but I took QDawgs advice and went ahead and bought it and man was I in shock!!! It was just as good if not better than the first!!! If you are a fan of blood and gore and lots of it, this movie is for you.
